Angie's Dumpling Bar-The Glen reviews
31Delicious food, well-presented with very little wait time, comfortable seating, courteous and obliging table service.
Food: Dumplings not authentic nor tasty, and not fresh (got stomachache 20min after eating!)
Service: Normal, but you will have to order at the counter and pay in advance…
Environment: Just normal.
The dumplings are always big in portion and delicious! Generous with meat! Takeaway times can be a bit slow, but the food is worth the wait!
A frequent visitor, good affordable chinese restaurant located in the Glen Shopping Centre.the tofu and mushroom dish was absolutely amazing, and the sizzling beef was also incredible. We also often get the dumplings and fried prawn, consistently good food- Would recommend
Strategically located at the ground floor of The Glen in front of Colonial fresh.
We ordered the breakfast set (porridge + dough stick) and a fried noodle. Porridge and dough stick is really yummy. The fried noodle is bit too peppery for me but overall is alright.
Great great great place and really yummy food. Consistently good. Been here 5 times already and a guaranteed favorite! Lots of food choices other than dumplings too!
If I can do nothing rate, I will do definitively.
Poor service and no explanation for long time take away. Just say 3 minutes, 5 minutes but it was not served at all.
Finally, I cancelled my order and refunded.
No visit there!
Staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble, price is very reasonable, and the service is great. A real surprise packet in the Glen shopping centre.
Food is very tasty and service was nice and friendly. Had two dishes for a light lunch. Was a good experience and we will return.
Egg in dumpling/ for those with egg allergy
My son has egg allergy. I ordered pan fried pork and pan fried chicken after asking if the food contained any eggs. I was told no and I asked the manager and same answer.
My son had two bites and started feeling unwell and threw up all over. And after had wheezing and breathing issues.
I called again and asked and was told that there is no eggs! But be aware there is egg in the dumplings! So those with egg allergy don’t trust what you are told.
Fried pork and chive dumplings. Great flavour but MASSIVE! So big the filling wouldn’t stay inside. To eat them I had to stab them with my chopsticks. Or I ate the filling seperate to the pasty.
Love the place, I get the laksa everytime. It's really nice
Came here every week for laksa for 6 months straight. Got diabetes but it was a delicious journey.
My granddaughter and I shared, fried rice with pork and prawns, salt and pepper chicken wings. My granddaughter declared so fresh and the best wings she has ever had.
Have been here many times and back again for the fish head soup and dumplings. Ordered sweet and sour pork rice and also a braised pork noodles. Many choices if having lunch and there’s a lunch menu. There’s a drink list that is exhaustive too. Very authentic Chinese dishes and stir fry. Definitely going back every time we want a Chinese meal.
Price good
Environment is good and clean
Price is good
But taste while is a bit lacking, average.
I order pan fry dumplings, the marinate is too strong with xiao xin wine
Won ton is a bit weird with that sauce
Beef rice noodle has a good flavour with the wok breath, but it is not a 贵叼
It was nice to find a dumpling place in The Glen. Walking inside took us back to the many side street cafes in HongKong. Their menu had so many selections that it should cater for everyone.
We were happy with our order which consisted of: pork dumpling in chilli sauce (not so hot at all), steamed rice noodle roll, custard bun, and pan-fried pork buns. Also, tried their iced milk tea - bit on the sweet side but loved it. Service was excellent. Staff were helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic service and food. Especially the lovely Jeslyn who always welcomes us with a smile and fabulous service
Didn't eat Plum Chicken Ribs for long time. So impressive with this one in Glen. Definitely will come back to try other chefs specials.
Thumbs up for sweet and sour fish and the fried beans: good size, tasted great, strong positive for abundant sweet and sour sauce, slight negative for being onion-less and just a tad too sour.
The 3 rice dishes were their lunch specials, filling and tasted ok.
Kudos to the staff for very efficient service and keeping the venue clean.
I'd rate as 3.5* overall
Went here this evening when shopping at The Glen for the first time. I was so excited when I saw this restaurant because I lived in China for 5 years and LOVE dumplings. As there many Asian people in the restaurant and in the centre I was sure the food would be great.
Unfortunately it was some of the worst food I have ever had in my life!
The dumplings needed a chainsaw to cut through the the thick dough and the filling was just a lump of tasteless nothing. The wrap I ordered with satay beef was full of large pieces of fat and gristle. I was nearly sick. So disappointing. Never, ever again.
