Andrew's Hamburgers reviews
26Great place to get a bite of the famous Andrews burgers if you do not want a commissary style kitchen, of the more famous South Melbourne restaurant, instead want a place to sit, relax In a New York style burgers and beer environment.this is your place try it you will love it. We did!
Burgers are fairly average. Closer to fast food than premium burger. Vegetarian is nothing special and not many options. Don't think I'd go back again.
Slowest burger place in the city, well over half an hour just to make 2 of them. Incorrect order too as we received the guys order before us who then promptly left, and after all that time waiting even our hungry and desperate appetites could not understand why this venue is so hyped up
Last visited 10yrs ago not much has changed - patty was dry with no seasoning - bun was dry - at lease the egg and onions were ok - doesnt com near the hype of ""best burger'' - far from it
If you want an old school fish and chippery style burger with a heart attack sized side of chips drowning in chicken salt, this is the place
Years ago I had Andrews burgers in Port Melbourne. It was good then and now there is one much closer in the heart of Melbourne it is a great thing. With a variety of traditional and new age American style burgers. Food was really tasty and the service was super quick. The staff were also very friendly which was a plus.
Didn't live up to the hype. Had wanted to try these burgers for years, finally at the right place at the right time. Completely underwhelmed. Tasted a bit like a fish and chip shop burger but not as nice. Chips weren't much either. Disappointed. Little food hut FTW.
The burger they serve… trust me, it’s one of the best places for burgers in Melbourne. The food is delicious and the portions is sufficient, not mentioning how the staff are welcoming and clean.
Great burgers, awesome beefy food for a pallet of all ages. Affordable for a family night out!
Quick and easy to order food here, Buzzer system to pick up your food is ok but would have preferred them to bring my food to my table. Other than that the burgers are decent, not the best burger you will have but much better than what is around this area in terms of burgers if you are looking for a quick bite near work
Excellent service and burgers. With a choice of beef, steak, chicken or veg with many great combinations and toppings the burgers are superb. There are gluten free options and crispy golden chops and potato cakes. A modern interior with booths or tables as well as outdoor seating for sunny days.
Andrew's have been around for years and their city branch is a welcoming change too all the American style fancy burger joints popping up everywhere.
Nothing fancy, no wagyu beef, no smoked aged special cheddar from some rare breed of cows and no fancy coloured brioche buns, just a good fat humble beef/chicken burger.
Staff are also friendly with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
Loved the size of the burgers. Ingredients feel really fresh but the taste can still be improved. I will def come back.
Great old fashioned burgers, like the ones you got in suburban fish n chip shops in your childhood but slightly bigger. Good chips too!
I love this place! Delicious wonderful burgers. Reminds me of fish n chip style burgers back in NZ only better! Hawaii Five-O is the one!
I had a 'secret menu' item. If you ask for the secret menu, they will provide this to you.
I had the hulk which is a burger between potato cakes. It wasn't as intense as I thought it would be - which is a good thing of course. I wouldn't make it a habit to eat the Hulk but at least I didn't need to eat a side of fries. Off the main CBD strip, you either know of Andrew's or you don't. But one should know Andrew's that's for sure.
By far the best burgers in Melbourne cbd. These are exactly what a burger should be. Honest, amazingly delicious but not over the top. The chips are incredibly crunchy and golden.
This place has never let me down.
Enormous portion sizes - you won't eat as much as you think! The service was speedy and welcoming, and the burger flavours are pretty standard for these days. Overall, pretty decent fish n chip shop style burgers.
A nice addition for fans of this legendary burger around the area. Easily packed but it's worth the wait.
Tasty (I had a veg burger), friendly staff, great wee location, clean and there burgers are big worth ever penny.
