Great spot for hiking and camping alike.

Brisbane Ranges hikes are slightly longer than You Yangs but worth the walk.

Bring food and water for the hiking.
BBQ gas stoves available for post or pre hike picnics.

Great spot. If hiking the gorge loop, bring a map or download alltrails to guide you, As the trails are poorly marked and I thought I was lost, just before dark, with no service, definitely a beautiful part of Victoria

The walk is great.spent a good 4-5 hours on the circuit.it gets confusing at times as there are few trails.but it was manageable

Great little hike. Not too hard. After getting over the first initial incline things get a little easier. Was fun to hike at

In the middle of nature, although not the most picturesque location it was serene. Gas BBQs are available to those who bring their own gas bottles

I'm a bit biased but this was my family's go-to picnic area as a kid. The only down side nowadays is that we never see koalas anymore. Has a free built in gas BBQ as well as areas for wood fire BBQ. Toilet facilities. Gazebo. Great bush walking tracks. Great place for the family, but keep an eye on your kids, there are some streams and creeks around.

Great place for a hike. There are two main tracks one beginner (Anakie Gorge Walk) about 8km to Stony Creek Reservoir and one moderate (Ted Errey Nature Circuit) about 12km to complete including hiking to the Reservoir.

Ted Errey is great for moderate hikers looking for a bit of an elevation challenge. There are some sharp rocks along the track and two lookouts for a short break. There is some rock hopping along the track which add a great element to the hike. Track is fairy easy to follow and takes around 4hrs to complete.

Such a hidden gem just outside of Geelong! Make sure you do the hike to the 2 lookouts, a bit steep and rocky on the ascent but worth it and an easy walk from there along the top. We walked from stony creek picnic area to anakie gorge picnic area which says to allow an hour but is flat and very easy. Not super accessible for prams or wheelchairs due to the rock walkways in areas. Allow a couple hours to explore

I don't want the public to know about this place. Its way to perfect. You can be there for hours and have no phone reception so no one can call you and it's bliss. The birds calling all around it's a delight. Parking way easy. The few bbq hot plates you need to bring your own wood for or go find some are spread out. The trees are so nice and air so fresh. So 8f the public could just leave the place alone that would be nice.

Extensive tract of bush with countless animals, birds everywhere and even koalas in the trees! Very close to geelong which is a bonus!

Anakie Gorge is a hidden gem, rich with history and beautiful scenery. The walking path is suitable for most walkers, and there's some uphill tracks for more advanced levels.

Beautiful park. Three large picnic areas separated by trees. Toilet and bbq both electric and wood fired. Very nice wildlife and heaps of birds. Well maintained bush walk through gorge. Very nice.

Not too bad a place. I parked at the Stoney Creek picnic area and walked to the Amalie Gorge Picnic area.

The drive down to the park is rough. You could do it in a 2WD but it would be very uncomfortable.

The walk itself is fairly well marked with scattered seats along the way. Plenty of gum trees and rocks but not much else. It takes about an hour and only requires basic fitness.

I did the Anakie Gorge walk and then on the way back did the Nelson Track.
The Nelson Track is intense. It's pretty much straight up on loose rock and requires a good level of fitness. The walk itself is labelled as "difficult" which is pretty accurate.
The view from the top is pretty impressive but again not much else to see after that.

Would I go back? No, I would travel to the Otways and walk through one of the many walks there.

It's a nice place for a bush walk. There's a picnic area, toilets and parking area. I've been here two times on summer and spring. I really wish could see water flows on the river but still can't see it on spring.
