We ate here 2 times in the past week. Pad Thai each time and green and red curry respectively. It was superb! It is a small venue but it is tastefully fitted out. And the dishes look gorgeous and taste divine!

Delicious food from starters with chicken satay, phenang curry with sticky rice in mains, mango with sticky rice in desert all of them tasted to perfection, friendly atmosphere, and amazing staff.

We had an absolutely magnificent meal at Amphawa- every dish was better than the last! Without doubt some of the best Thai food I have eaten in Melbourne and such a lovely family serving us all night. Highly recommended and can't wait to revisit in the new year! Hands down to the owner and chef at this beautiful restaurant - super delicious authentic Thai food at relatively reasonable price and generous portion. I and my friend had such a great night enjoying 3 popular dishes - Stir Fried Yellow Curry with Chicken, Stir Fried Pork Belly with Chinese Broccoli, and Beef Thai Salad - at first we thought we surely could not finish them all, yet nothing left at the end simply because all 3 dishes were so so so tasty. I had to come back the next day to get the same Yellow Curry to my super fussy son who also enjoyed the food very much. Nink is such a lovely and friendly owner who has genuine passion in serving the best Thai food to local customers, which we really appreciated. The restaurant has just been established for a couple of months but we can see there were quite a lot of customers coming in and out during the 2 hours we dined there. Please come and enjoy this delicious food, you will not be disappointed.

From appetizers to dessert everything was perfect. Recommended the padthai with traditional flavor, we tried two curries and both were exquisite, the service was excellent, I think I have ever left a restaurant so happy. A jewel in Melbourne!

New Thai restaurant on Bay St Port Melbourne. Had dinner there last night with friends and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Food and service was extra special and reasonably priced. Small cafe but that just adds to the "homely' atmosphere. Give them a try - I dont think you'll be disappointed. We'll return!

Super fresh tasty Thai food. If you are looking for more authentic Thai which keeps to traditional flavours and ingredients then look no further, so GOOD. Tasty, fresh, flavoursome, reasonable price, incredible service, it was an experience I will happily return to again and suggest others go as well.

Came here with my parents and boyfriend the other day. The food was amazing, cooked to perfection. I had the pad thai and it was so delicious it was like being back in Asia. An added bonus was having the waitresses adorable baby there, he’s super cute

Fabulous! Being a long time fan of Royal Orchid I was delighted to see what a good job has been done to maintain the ambience and standard of food here at Amphawa. Such a warm welcome, will definitely keep going back as my favourite local Thai eatery in Port Melbourne. Had the green chicken curry and the massaman. Roti bread and spring rolls, everything was delicious

Wonderful food and staff, try the Khao Soi the only thing missing was a cold Chang beer, which should be there soon

This is the best Thai I've had in Australia. The chef has remained true to Thailand's complex flavours.
A group of 4 adults plus baby, we had the: prawn spring rolls, fish cakes, satay skewers, beef fried rice, chicken pad Thai, prawn curry and sticky rice. Every dish was amazing.
Ambience and service was truly lovely.
Five out of five on all fronts.
