Amor Mexico

Such a welcoming place, Amy was engaging and kind, knew our names after a few minutes and recommended wonderful dishes from the menu. Drinks were great. It’s tucked away in a nice quiet location near the main road and station. Will be making this a regular dinner and drinks place for sure!

Absolutely loved it. From the food to the decor, and the Sangria. I should have ordered the litre carafe. It's a bit hidden away at the Blackburn shops, but well worth the visit

The staff were so funny, genuine, and welcoming here, they did small things that really made it a special experience like getting the names of people at the table, and the chimichangas were incredible, we couldn't stop ordering extra rounds

90% of drinks on menu were frozen; lack of cocktails/mocktails.
I would love to have something good to say but it was just pretty mediocre, overpriced to say the least in terms of food.

Had a great night celebrating our daughters birthday. Amy and the crew at Amors are always very welcoming and engaging and the food is fabulous. Thank you for a wonderful night to all.

Great service and atmosphere, food was okay.

We were greeted by very friendly staff, great options on the menu. We chose the banquet for our table.

Chicken potato skins and chilli con carne tacos were good. Fajita was a bit underwhelming, underseasoned. Churros were nice at the end. I'd say for 49pp, serving sizes were on the small size, main was lacking flavour.

This was our first time visiting and we were really impressed with the service. The food was spot on and tasted so good. We brought our kids and they had the best time! The staff are really nice and recommended what to get and we were blown away. Thanks so much and we will definitely be coming back.

OMG, what a fabulous meal we had tonight. Nachos, taquitos and the amazing beef chimichangas. Delicious! Amy, our host, couldn't have been more attentive or friendly. Thank you Amy for making our dining experience, one to remember.

Very disappointing. Food took ages and then one meal we specifically asked for no jalepenos and then had to wait another 10 minutes for them to remake it, and did not get to eat together.

Portion sizes small for the price (it's quite expensive) and the health bowl only had 3 pieces of chicken.

I've had lunch and dinner and brought takeaway from Amor Mexico on a few occasions and I would love to say I really love what the team at Amor Mexico are doing! The food is fantastic, the service is great! It's not just a restaurant! It has an amazing community behind it as well! If you are looking for some great mexican food and an amazing community support, I highly recommend Amor Mexico!?

The Food - each dish is lovingly crafted and cooked to perfection. Their love for their work is evident in each bite and by the end you’ll wish you had more than one stomach so you could have more without feeling so full. Portion sizes are just right and you’ll leave feeling like you’ve gotten your money’s worth for sure.
The Staff - where do you even begin with the staff? They are all such a pleasure to interact with, all of them so lovely and kind, always happy to help. This applies to no one more so than the charismatic owner of Amor Mexico, Amy. This is a woman who very clearly loves not only her business but every customer who walks through her doors. Instantly you feel like she’s a friend you’ve known for a lifetime and she makes you feel so at ease and so comfortable that you almost forget you’re dining at a business and could easily be forgiven for thinking you’re just having dinner with a friend. Amy is the life and soul of the business and you’ll find it nearly impossible to walk out without a grin on your face.

This is the kind of business every community needs and Blackburn is forever blessed to be lucky enough to have such a gem in its backyard. Being an Amor Mexico customer is not just another night out, it’s knowing you’re giving back to a loving and inclusive community jewel who gives back to its community as much as it receives.

Came here for my birthday last week. Absolutely loved the food, the wait times were standard, the cocktails were yummy. We are very happy with the prices, sizes and quality of the dishes we had.
Staff were so sweet, even put a birthday candle on my churro, I thought that was beautiful.
We will definitely be repeat customers.

The service is excellent and the decor is lovely - the food however is quite terrible.

The potato skins are simultaneously extremely dry yet overflowing with oil. $30 for tacos with watery unseasoned chicken and an extremely small portion of bland rice with zero spices? I’ve had better Mexican food at the fast food joint GYG. I would highly recommend going anywhere else if you want good food.

Delicious, but slightly overpriced for the portion sizes. The staff are always lovely and friendly.

The only thing was that it had no spices in it. We'll go again because we liked the place and we'll make sure to ask for a 9/10 chilli experience!

We had the most phenomenal time at Amor Mexico! The food was fantastic, and the service staff were even better. Amy and her team should be applauded for their wholistic approach to the dining experience.

Food was really nice, however frozen margaritas weren’t anything to rave about, 1 tasted like it has soy sauce in it. Alcohol options were limited, only frozen margaritas available, a cocktail menu would be amazing.
