Ammachi's Table

Just visited Ammachi's Table and we were blown away! Warm and friendly customer service and amazing food with authentic Kerala flavours - we had the Paper Masala Dosa, Uzhunnu Vada and Chicken Varuval - and the Malaysian Teh Tarik (hot milk tea) is a 'must try' as is the Roti! We will definitely be spreading the word and we can't wait to visit again! Thank you so much Michelle, Ash and Dom for your wonderful food and service that has hit the spot

Pretty authentic Malaysian Indian food!

Decided to try this place after hearing about it quite a bit in a Malaysian facebook group, and hearing that it was Rich Mahal under new management. Having grown up on roti for breakfast every Saturday mornings in KL many years ago, this place definitely helps satisfy that craving (and not having to deal with slightly difficult parking in Springvale, where there are a couple of good roti places).

Roti was crispy on the outside yet still a little doughy - while the paper dosa was sooo crispy and light, we were struggling to keep it from being blown away (sat outside on a windy day), nevertheless still very yummy (and went well with the 3 different sauces it comes with - really like the orange/reddish sauce!). I forgot what the top 2 meat dry curries were (1 lamb and the other chicken), would definitely recommend the chicken - just being mindful it is on the spicier end. Also, looking around you'll notice most of the customers are Malaysians.

The owner, Ash, a Malaysian Indian, is extremely friendly and a true foodie - her passion for cooking and food just shines through and we had a lovely chat after the meal.

Would definitely recommend coming here to get your roti fix!

Quantity less for takeaway, chicken curry was just ok.not really tasted above average. Vada is ok. Not dining here again.

Amazing food! 1st time here after recommendation from friend. Ordered 5 different types of food and all tasted beyond my expectation! Highly recommend ‘Mamak Rojak’ (only available on weekends). You won’t find the same taste anywhere else. The roti and curries are delicious too. Friendly service.

Casual eatery with top notch food, will have to come back to try all the different curries on offer! Giant dosa is visually impressive and delicious.

Finally got myself to Ammachi’s Table and I was humbled to experience such amazing food. I enjoyed a wide range from the menu and made sure to stock up with food for the next few days. Roti with cheese absolutely delicious. Eggplant masala-just wow. So many more and all were Thankyou for looking after me Ash and Michelle and all the staff.

We catered the Hyderabadi lamb biryani and chicken varruval for a birthday party dinner and it was a crowd fav! Authentic, delicious, and it was easy to communicate with AT to place this order.

First time at this place after reading some good reviews online. Food was reasonably priced and Tasted Great. Staff were really helpful and great service.

Only recommendation from my side is that we have to be very careful about the fried oil and curry smell that will be absorbed into our clothes, since we are sitting inside the (only) small dining hall adjacent to the open style kitchen and bain-marie. Better exhaust system is needed to solve this problem. If weather conditions permit I would recommend to sit at the outside dining area.

Had catering for our party at home. Ash was great with discussing the menu and helping us plan. Food was fantastic and greatly enjoyed by all.

Ordered from Ammachi's Table for our monthy staff lunch. Everyone loved the dishes and the comment from our Sri Lankan born attendee was "very tasty". Our 'no spicy for me' attendee was very impressed by the flavor of the mild offerings. We will definitely be coming back (after I finish my diet).

Seems to have renamed itself, probably because of the terrible service it had as Rich Mahal. They never refunded me for the food they advertised as being on sale, took my money and refused a refund.

Excellent food, extremely tasty and lovely friendly owners. A suburban gem that is worth travelling for! Chicken varruval and the green chutney exactly like grandma’s.

My new found Favorite Malaysian eatery, Fresh & Authentic Malaysian / Southern Indian food. We will be back. A bit of touch up at the eating area will be a bonus.

Economical Malaysian Indian food great selection of spicy and curry dishes. Set meals worth it.

This place is just amazing! I found this shop two weeks ago and now I can't stop going there. The owners are always friendly and the food is always tasty. If you want the real taste of Grandma's cooking.head to Ammachi's table.

Fantastic South Indian curries, the Malabar mutton and lamb curry were amazing! The roti canai was really good! The thosai was fantastic, it came with an amazing coconut chutney. The mamak rojak was really well done. I highly recommend this place for anyone missing Malaysian indian food. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes.

Down to earth Cafe style eating where the food takes pride of place.
Make sure to get a Pan roll (chicken, lamb, beef, fish or vege), packed full of deliciousness.
