With out doubt the most revolting customer service I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. I have never been spoken to in the manner the old man spoke to my partner and I. Asked to try on a pair of shoes,: Are you going to try or buy? " "They're $x amount" Thank you I replied I'm familiar with the brand and i have a number of pairs. Well I have 20 he replied.etc etc. Disgusting, you should be absolutely ashamed of your selves. Better tailors, better shoe shops, better accessories all across this city, how they are still in business is a mystery.

I have had the pleasure of shopping at American Tailors for many years, and always found their range and attention to detail stunningly good. A great place to buy a special gift or a beautifully fitting garment. Highly recommended as one of Melbourne's special stores.

I was checking the opening hours when I saw a couple of very surprising negative reviews and was compelled to add to the many voices who have had the pleasure of being served by Seb & Tony. These two gents could talk for hours about craftsmanship. It's their passion! Quality apparel feels different. I think it makes you feel special. Yes it's at the high end in terms of cost but how much did you spend on your last holiday? Anything you buy here will last.

It is excellent quality and the staff are just simply responsive to each individual person that comes in. I have never found anywhere quite like it. A Melbourne institution. Any repairs or advice they are always knowledgeable and helpful.
