Helpful staff, but advertised store opening hours are unreliable. Both pieces of furniture we were interesred in were out of stock, with a 2 week wait, disappointing.
We ordered ‘made to order’ furniture which was supposed to arrive in 6-7 weeks. We had to contact the store to find out that it’s now 10-12 weeks away. We dealt with Amy who was rude and very unhelpful
They have done nice couches and very good prices with great long warranties! Well worth a look.
Bought a chair and upon opening it found that the product was poorly constructed with wonky stitching. Called the Nunawading store and was told I had to call their service department to deal with it. It could have been easily resolved by just swapping it in store but they weren't interested in helping.
Absolutely disgraceful. All smiles and happy to take your money during sales but then dodge your phone calls when they fail to deliver the product when they're supposed to and when they have to refund your money. Still waiting for my refund.
You get what you pay for I guess.
Update: Went in store to get my refund, was told to wait 3-5 business days. 3 business days later, Amart retracted the refund. Now, I have to go through my bank to get my refund.
What kind of shonky business is this?
There is plenty of home furniture to view at a reasonable price range to fit your budgets
The furniture in store is made from quality product. However the product they actually provide you when you make a purchase is utter cheap rubbish.
Don’t bother with their extended warranty which is dishonest as they do not honour it appropriately and refuse to give you a report.
Sam the store manager is the rudest person I have gone across who talks over you and has zero customer service or care factor.
If the conversation does not go in her direction she even hangs up on you and does not own up to her mistakes
Salesman was great and very helpful. The table we bought was damaged so we asked for a replacement. It takes a loooong time to work this out. Emails take over 48 hrs for anyone to reply and when they do it’s very rude. Finally got a replacement table and it was damaged also. Never ever again will we be buying anything from Amart. Another 2 weeks of emails and some were left unanswered. Extremely rude in replying and making it seem that we are being picky by sending it back. Eventually got our refund. Way to hard to deal with.
10 year warranty! Blah! Purchased 6 dining chairs and they have all lost their shape/padding has moved - and only after 12 months! Beware. Their T&C's have it conveniently hidden that you need to notify them within 7 days of noticingany defect, never mind the 10yr warranty. I have bought a few things from Amart, but won't be anymore after they refused to process the claim. I will be taking this up with Consumer Commission as it is disgraceful.
The staff were friendly but fairly inattentive and couldn’t get my order right. When it finally arrived as stock I got the wrong item. You get what you pay for I guess!
I've come here a bunch of times and they are usually flexible with the price. Purchased a recliner recently for my wife (which they adjusted the price on) and wanted a recliner for myself. I asked them what the best price was on the recliner I wanted and the manager refused to budge. You know the stuff is made in China, they know it's made in China. So their stinginess only hurts them because they have one more chair they need to get rid of and one less customer.
Too expensive for me. After being inside for about 3 min. A salesman told me where the lounge suites where. I was sitting on one! Smart man that one. Sorry mate but really.
Dealing with nunawading Amart has been an absolute nightmare. There is total lack of communication and none of the staff speak to each other.
Just finished speaking with assistant store manger, ASHLEY at amart nunawading and absolute disregard for the customer with an arrogant tone. She made me feel like a third class citizen that does not belong in this country and have no rights after being given wrong/incomplete information by their staff. And then she imposes her lack of empathy and her heightened sense of attitude on me suggesting that i am being unreasonable and aggressive. The audacity she showed on the day was appalling.
Just when i thought dealing with amart could not get any worst, they prove me wrong again. Too bad the lowest rating is 1. If i could choose, i would have given her and the store negative 5.
Post covid customer care is gone downhill. All thumbs down.
Over priced I went in looking for a leather couch found one that was very similar to the Nick scali one I loved but when I found out the price I could not justify why it would be over $1000 more than the Nick scali couch.
Also no display models of the couch in leather at any of the show rooms so you would be purchasing blind as you couldn't feel the leather quality first
The shop definitely lost its great customer service. Bunch of floor employee congregate in one place while customers have to go the other side of the shop to get help. I wish there was a self check out system. I suspect due to shortage of supply they are not even remotely interested in discussing if there was an discount on offer. Not sure what changed, but I don't see the previous store manager anymore who was always willing to find extra bit of savings for the customers. Won't be back in this again!

Simply because the staff is not willing to help. Staff looked like they did not want to be there.
Every question asked, their answer was 'no'. Was lazy to look up in the system
I visited around 2pm, they weren't busy at all. It was a let down with the customer service.
We were served on two occasions by different staff, and were very pleased with the customer service shown. Friendly, honest and helpful. The great prices were icing on the cake.
Great service easy parking, bought two bar stools, pick up is easy at the rear of the building, just ring a bell show the sales slip and they bring items to your car,
