Alteration Express Dry Cleaning Agency

I'm rarely able to wear anything straight off the rack so I've been to many places for alterations over the years. Without a doubt Solita has hands down provided the best service and quality of work.

She's experienced in working with many different and difficult materials (where I've been told at other places that it's not possible or they can't do it), the pricing is beyond reasonable, and she provides great customer service and it's always with a smile.

Dropped my new suit for a wedding I was attending to be cleaned and pants to be taken up dropped 23/1 to be picked up 25/1. Picked up on time so far so good, tried pants on to make sure they were right and they were, put them back in the plastic so nothing would get dirty.
Fast forward to Saturday 28/1. Try everything on and notice there is a melted part on the front of the vest and the bottom button is hanging on by a thread. Hardly ideal considering I was part of the bridal party.
Took this up with management of this business the following Monday. Was told that nothing they did could do this and that the dry cleaning is done off site, I can speak to him if I would like he said it was already there I just forgot to tell you because I was busy when you came in.
Unsatisfactory answer not sure how long you guys intend on running this business but maybe a change in attitude is in order.
Probably don’t drop clothes off here if they are important to you.

I gave my wedding dress, husbands suit and my dads suit to Scoresby alteration express dry cleaning.
They shrunk my dads suit, and have lost my husbands suit.
We contacted the company and owner, who was aggressive in telling us that we took too long to notice, and refused to solve the issue due to him believing that he had not made an error. He also believes that the receipts provided by Peter Jackson are too poor of quality, and wants my bank card nunbers to resolve the issue.
We have not been able to solve the issue, despite having receipts, bank statements and images to show. We have now lost $1,000 on the cost of the suits, and the sentimental value of our wedding suits.
I have contacted Accurent Affair, further investigation to come.

I was nervous as I've never had anything altered before, but this place was wonderful. My dress looked absolutely no different than when I dropped it off but fit a thousand times better. Very affordable, and lovely service. Thank you!

This place is super friendly and with an amicable environment, I am surely coming back for all my alteration and repair needs! The location is great with a parking lot in front. I brought in a pair of pants to be fixed and it looks like they were brand new. I am so glad I stumbled upon this store!

I've just read Jessica's review and I was shocked as I've been using this shop for over seven years and have always been extremely happy with the service Mom (that's the owners name and who my wife jokingly calls my second Mum!) has given me.
I have used Mom for alterations, dry cleaning and ironing of my shirts on a weekly basis over this time and have always been completely happy.
I'm sure that when Jessica had her unhappy experience Mom was overseas visiting her children in Canada and she had someone in to look after the shop whilst she was away.
I have no hesitation in recommending this business.

Added Note:
I visited this shop to take some trousers in for alteration and told Mom of the problem that Jessica had. She was away at the time of this and completely unaware of what had happened and was very upset about how Jessica was treated.

She would like Jessica to contact her so that she could make it up to her in some way.

I'm not one to usually write reviews on places I usually just read them myself but after the experience I had at this place I thought I must definitely should as I don't want anyone to go through what I had to todah. This is a disgusting rude UNPROFESSIONAL business! I would not reccomend this place to absolutely anyone! I took a white dion lee dress (high end designer brand) and my boyfriends white blazer Monday morning to get dry cleaned and they said that they would have it done be Wednesday 3pm. I rented this dress off a girl so I had to have it back to her by 4pm and she had someone else renting it off her who was picking it up tonight. I go to pick it up at 3pm and when I got there she gave me the dress and blazer in a bag that had just been sitting on a chair in a corner scrunched up when I took the dress there ON a coat hanger with a plastic cover over it. The lady then said 'it's cancelled' and just shoved the dress towards me, I said what do you mean it's cancelled? She replied with 'too dirty we can't do for you' I was absolutely god smacked as this IS a dry cleaning company? Isn't that in their job description? I was very upset to the point where I was crying and she was yelling at me in Chinese and pointing at the door for me to leave I didn't know what to do at the time because I was just so upset this has happened and I NEEDED to have the dress back to this girl at a certain time. She was so inconsiderate, rude and had no customer service what so ever, but what I don't understand is why didn't I get a call to say it was cancelled? If I had known, I would of taken it else where straight away! I called around and I was in tears on the phone when I finally found a lady who said come here straight away and we will see what we can do. This dry cleaning place was AMAZING, she cancelled her appointment she had just to stay back at work and help me out because she could hear how upset I was on the phone! She couldn't believe herself that a dry cleaning company had turned me away? She said don't stress it'll be ready by 9am - she also offered to deliver it for me! I know some people don't care about reviews but I just thought i would try and warn people about this place because if you had a really expensive dress like I did and they treated it like it was a crappy piece of material and they ruined it you would be devastated! This lady I took it to was only a 10 minute drive from the Scoresby one and it's called 'Wellington Village Dry Cleaners' (right next to Aldi) and her name was Maree, 03 9755 6009!
Business's like this one at Scoresby don't deserve customers or any business in general! They don't care or have any customer service at all which is upsetting because that is there job, to help you!
Wellington Village Dry Cleaners may be 10 minutes further away but at least you know your stuff is in good hands, will be treated perfectly and they charge you a pretty cheap price. I'm so glad I found Maree or else I would of been in a really bad situation right now! Do your research before you go here! It's not worth it.
