Alter It Northland

Don’t bother taking anything here. I took my boyfriends shirt to get about 3cm taken off the bottom and got charged $35 for it which I had no issue with at first but then I came back and they said to come back next week to pick it up, which was fine I didn’t mind. I came back the next week and they told me “oh no come back on Saturday instead” and then when my dad went to get it on that Saturday they told him “oh I thought she wanted it NEXT Saturday” despite them being the ones who told ME to come back on that Saturday. The job shouldn’t have been more than an hour long job and to send me away twice and then put the blame on me is ridiculous. Horrible service and way too overpriced for something so small i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, apparently the other alternation place near Kmart is much better and way cheaper!

Came at roughly 2: 45pm asking for a quilt cover to be altered. Told to come back at 5pm,
wait around, return at 5pm after waiting like i was told.
The lady is now sick apparently; and i’ll have to wait 5 weeks (!? !) before coming back to try again. Feels as if they just didn’t want to do it; which is fine, just tell me instead of wasting my time. (was told last week they do it)
Took my business to the other alterations place at northland instead.

I took my curtains to the shop and asked them if they can fold them like 2 cm. Lady said she will charge $80 per curtain which is insane. I have paid $200 for the brand new curtain. Finally I got them done from a local lady and she charged me $10 per curtain and have done a good job with the curtains. I think these people charge large amounts of money for 5 minutes of work.

Was rude over the phone although they were pretty quick with service once I got there. I asked for two buttons to trade places on my dress and they did not do that. They also charged way to much for two buttons to be sewn on the dress.
Probably will not go back

Really bad service. I asked to alter two shirts, they stitched it too stretched (ended up with curls) and not usable anymore. Disappointed.

The owners were able to help get my suit in for a dry clean even though I was 10 mins past their closing time. Suit was cleaned well and staff were friendly throughout the whole process:) highly recommend!

This tailor is always busy, which is a good sign! They have done a fantastic job on many of my wardrobe items: a trench, pants, a dress and they’ve all been finished nicely. I think they’re pretty reasonable in price and also quick if required. Very conveniently located in Northland Shopping Centre too!

I liked the way it designed its front. Clearly put all the services on it using a good colour palette and simple typo

Hi I went there yesterday for a quote on 2 pants to be tampered and shorten the lady was so rude and over priced would rather give my buiisness to a well mannered person can understand why they don’t have much business shame on you treat people with respect and kindness Ashley Newman

The job was to repair a hole in the bottom of my jeans pocket. They could just fold the bottom of the pocket up and re-sew it. So it only cost $5, and it was ready after I did my grocery shopping.

Have never had a problem here. The ladies are lovely and their alterations are great quality and fast.

Had my jeans shortened. Staff were quite friendly & prompt. I'm happy with the result! Took approximately 25mins.and cost me $15! I'm stoked, thank you!

Terrible customer service! Not telling the price at the first place but charge a ridiculous 30 bucks for shorten a jeans with less than 10 mine work? Must kidding me! Never come to this place with this rude owner! If theres a zero star ill give!

Needed to get my trousers altered and decided to try this place out. Staff were very professional and accommodating and my trousers were altered to exactly the way I wanted it. I highly recommend this alteration service!

I have been using Alter It in melbourne central for several months and am so pleased with their service and professionalism. I expected the same standard from their Northland store. I was disappointed to find that the woman serving me was so argumentative that I only left two of rhe ten alterations I had planned to have done She was very rude and didn’t listen at all when I was explaining what I needed. Basically, don’t bother!
