Alter It Eltham

I always come to this place for my alterations and they never disappoint! The lady there is always so welcoming and lovely, allowing me to feel so comfortable with all my requests. If anyone in the area is looking for a place for alterations, Alter it Eltham is the best place to go!

Very nice people, they do a great job and well worth the money. Don’t haggle them for 5 bucks like the “Karen” that was there today.

The zip on my back pack was ripped up and a couple places said its not repairable but the ladies here fixed it up and it looks brand new. 10/10

I took in my 30th birthday dress that was very special to me but needed some adjustments. It wasn’t an easy one for them to alter but the girls did it and did it brilliantly! I’d continue to bring clothing there in the future:)

I had two pants to alter the length with original cut and it was measured by the lady at shop, after I alternation I found both are still long and not is the same length for left and right leg, when I returned back them to the shop the lady declined to redo the service with non professional behavour and to convince me what she did was right she started to raise her voice.
This place not worth it for the value and quality.
Never go to this place.

At last a truly professional alteration service. I am delighted at the quality of my recent alterations and now feel confident to use and recommend this local business. Friendly, prompt and above all, totally professional.

The lady in the store is friendly, the price is reasonable, but she does not give back my blazer to me on time. It is annoying.

As Nice as the owner of this business is the first time i took my mothers garments in to be altered the person at the counter could not understand english so it was extremely hard to communicate. I collected the garments a weekend later to find nothing had really been done except to stretch the elastic. So i then returned to get then redone and consequently they removed the elastic.still not extending the width.the items are now useless. Will not be going there again.

I needed a different back fastening to my Elsa adult dress and some stiffening at the back of the neck. I was going to be wearing this the following week to our staff charity ball with a winter theme. The lovely ladies recommended an invisible zip which would solve both of these problems. It most certainly did. The dress was ready a week later as promised and it was also steamed on the spot as requested. Very satisfied

I took an evening dress to get altered here, and panels were supposed to be added to the slip to make it bigger, instead the zip was detached from the slip, sewn down extremely poorly in the wrong coloured thread, leaving a hole in the slip. The straps were also sewn with the wrong coloured thread. The work done was not what I asked for or what I was told would be done, and the quality was very poor! Very, very disappointed.

I requested a last minute complex dress alteration and they were very happy to help. They charged a third of the price I was quoted elsewhere, the alterations fit perfectly and it looked like new.

Thank you for fixing my Leather Coat. The colour of the thread was perfect matched. The repair was not invisible but very close. Thank you
