Alter It Eastland

I recently had a very disappointing experience with an alteration service that cost me $175. Not only did they request a Christmas gift, but the alterations took a frustratingly long 4 days to complete. To make matters worse, the final result was terrible. The tailor decided to create their own designs, completely ruining my expensive clothes. The quality of their work was subpar, and I am deeply unsatisfied with the outcome.

I strongly advise against using this alteration service, as they have proven to be unprofessional and unreliable. Unfortunately, there is no possibility of going back to rectify the issue. My once valuable garments have been irreversibly ruined, leaving me extremely dissatisfied.

I hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale to others, preventing them from experiencing the same disappointment and loss that I have.

I have been using their services in Eastland Store for many years and was unsettled ro read such negative comments. I have always been more than happy with the job done and the helpfulness of the staff. Yes the prices have gone up, but so has everything, including their costs.
I just had a $250 dress altered with sleeves cut off and shortened for $35 as it just didn't suit and feel right on me. Brilliant, the lady got me to try it on as it was an unusual cut and design, she pinned, explained how she was doing it and I picked it up 2 hours later, thrilled with the result.
The same lady did alterations to a brand new linen suit for my husband. The pants and jacket shortened. It was a difficult job and executed perfectly.

I needed advice on pants as I am very short and have no hips. The older lady was so rude. She rolled her eyes, and had no customer service. She laughed at me, and I felt so embarressed and ashamed for asking for help. I really can't believe this attitude. She shouldn't be working.

This place charges ridiculous prices and very poor attitude! Better to go somewhere else for your clothes alteration and dry cleaning

Dry cleaning - ruined my cardigan, the material became chalky after the dry-clean, and none of the stains was removed. When I asked for a refund, the lady immediately said 'no' and said it is because it was an 'old' cardigan that was ' washed a lot' - I have only washed the cardigan twice. She was really rude as well. I should have waited and gone to the other dry cleaner at Eastland.

We have used this business over some years and each time have been very satisfied with their high service standard and customer contact. Would recommend this business definitely.

The staff hate working on weekend and weekday, poor customer service. I will recommend Australian do not go there.

Very rude and disrespectful customer service. Decided to look for another service. Not worth the price they charge. Definitely not returning. Horrible.

Visited this store this afternoon as I ripped a small hole in my jeans (about 5cm long)

The owner tried to charge me $45 dollars to fix it

Update: I do not disagree that your staff are skilled tailors but for the size of the area that needed to be fixed it was not worth that price in my opinion. Especially as the staff member who served me treated me like he didn’t want to do the service.

I ended up buying a new pair of jeans for 60 and if I decided to fix the current pair I’m sure I’ll go to another service who will be willing to fix it for a more reasonable price

They saved the hem on my jeans which is not that hard but they've done it in perfect way for very good price and quite quick. Well done! Love my fixed jeans.

The ladies at Alter It in Eastland did a wonderful job with the alterations for our wedding. Could not reccomend them enough! They are all so lovely and the service was fabulous! Thanks again.

Wanted a brand new dress shortened to become a top. They absolutely wrecked it. Shorter on one side than the other. Was unwearable. They insisted on trying to fix it by tacking on the leftover fabric. The pattern didn’t match and the seam was visible. I asked for my money back but had to go back on one of the 3 days the owner is there. Left the dress with them because I couldn’t wear it. She very grudgingly put the money back on my credit card. No apology - nothing. Would never go back.

I've been going here for years. They're always helpful, even with my unorthodox requests. Great service and great quality work.

I’ve been here a number of times to get my pants and jeans shorten and I’m always happy with the results. The staff are always friendly and quick, especially Lidia. Will continue to come back and recommend to others.

Terrible service, super rude and inconsiderate and expensive paid $80 for a simple alteration as no other option around this location. I ll rather travel to different location next time. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Unless you're desperate and don't have other option.

Slick, quick and professional. I had a really difficult sequin dress to hem and they did a beautiful job. Would recommend them to all my friends and family.

I should have listened to the other reviews. The stitching came loose practically the first day I wore my suit they tailored. Charged me $150 for the alterations as well, which for just a couple changes on the jacket seems high.
