I come here to get all my garments altered from formal dresses to pant hems and they are absolutely perfect every time. Yan is the one of the best in the business and incredibly knowledgeable!

Yan cut length of my 3 jeans, even replaced buttons with zipper. She's been a life saver. The rates are reasonable as well

Yan was great with her work. She explained her reasoning behind each alteration and was up front if an alteration would possibly not look as good as expected. Overall her work and professionalism was amazing.

Despite having multiple alteration shops in Chadstone shopping centre and others that are closer to home, I would only bring my items here to get altered and so does the whole family now. Aunty Yan is professional, highly skilled and simply knows what she's doing. She doesn't hesitate to pick out the flaws in the fitting and offers solutions to make you feel more confident in what you're wearing. I trust her with all my expensive garments and I just let her work her magic. Her work is always exceptional with a fast turn around. Highly recommended!

The ladies here are more than helpful. They have tailored 9 pieces of my clothings including a formal evening dress. I am fairly impressed by their quality work. And they are all reasonably priced. Kudos to their smart work! Will recommend anyone who needs a reliable tailor in their life to give a new look on all their wardrobe!

I was dropping off a pair of jeans for urgent alterations and happily offered to pay more money to get the service done; so they agreed, but after the owner found out I have an account with the store next door (TLC). She told me to never to come back again without explaining why, very unprofessional service and rude attitude.

Update: The owner came in to my work today very upset that I had wrote this review and told me I had a black heart… if this is your attempt to reconcile by coming to my work and harass me, make personal attack then I must say this is beyond disappointing.

First of all the no extra charges was NEVER mentioned when I dropped in and after I pick up, it makes me think you’re trying to make yourself look good by saying that.

Also, when I was there the owner didn’t mention a thing about damaging the relationship with Looksmart, all she said is “DONT COME BACK, it’s not fair” after the fact, I mentioned we have an account with TLC. So please don’t change the words and try to make it sound nicer. I know what I said and what I heard.

If today you came in nicely and explain your side I would tried to understand from a customer perspective and delete this review. My initial intention coming to your store is my tailor from TLC is not working on weekend and I wanted to give the business opportunity to you. THAT’S ALL. It doesn’t matter if it’s out of good will, you agree to the service, we paid you, it’s business, however you tried to twist the story and make it sound like it’s my fault.

To whoever wrote this reply on behalf of the owner, please get the truth from her before you try to save the company image.

Running a business is hard and I would never write a bad review unless I was taken back by the service. End of story.

Yan was extremely helpful today and a pleasure to deal with. I would have no hesitation in recommending Yan and Alter It Chadstone in the future.

Warning to all, exorbitant prices! It’s exploitation to charge so much money for such a little repair that I enquired about, being someone who knows how to sew, I simply cannot justify being charged WAY to much! I will be dusting off my sewing machine to do the job myself. Please don’t support this business, nor any business that exploits people by OVER charging them
