Alter It

Dropped my jacket of on a Sunday they said pick up next Saturday. Arrived to pick it up was told not ready come back in an hour. He debated me saying pick up is Sunday 12pm although next to the time was last weeks date.

Interesting set up, there was no one here when I arrived, I had to call the number left on the counter then wait 10 mins for her to arrive.

She arrived whilst having a conversation on her phone, didn’t greet me & continued to chat, she served 3 other guys before me, as they walked in not long after her, all whilst I had been standing there waiting patiently. So I wouldn’t rate the customer service.

She took my jeans up, was fast & efficient, not sure I’d go back.

Poor communication and over priced. After calling a few places, i went with alter it Knox because I was told $25 to shorten a dress over the phone plus 15% discount for the school promo. When I got there I was offered 10%off. Only after I showed the website and then she agreed to changed it to 15% Then I was told it's actually $30 not 25 and her colleague gave me the wrong price. I should have taken my business elsewhere but I had no time.

Then I said to NOT cut, only to fold up. At pick up I found out she cut the dress because there was too much fabric. This is the point of having extra fabric so we can get lots of years from this school dress! She said it would be too bulky and not look nice so she decided to trim the fabric. I wish this was communicated before the work was done. I would not have agreed to it. Now I will only have enough for 1 adjustment in the future. I am SO unhappy! I should have gone to a local shop.

I love the service they provide and the tailor is well experienced and price is acceptable. Can’t find anywhere else better then that! I would love to visit again!

They used green cotton to hem a mostly white dress. Very poor quality and they were expensive too. Will never use again.

I used them many many times

Lately the items that required repair have come back unacceptable.
Not repaired properly.
Taken back an item recently and it was not properly sewn again.
Had another item sewn and the stitching not even.
Previously they were excellent but not now.

I had a pair of checked pants altered. When I went to pick them up, they were still too big and they wanted to charge me a second time to adjust them. So I paid for an adjustment and still have pants that don’t fit. In addition, when I took them in the checks were matched perfectly and now their not. I will not use this service again. Buyer beware!

Took my partners pants to get taken up and we're very happy with the results. Super affordable, well tailored, and done in a very short amount of time. Certainly will be coming back again.

Quote different pricing every time for the sake type of job. Seem to make up the pricing how they like. Highly recommend you go somewhere else!

We tried to get the daughter's pant altered, the pant costs 35 but they asked for 80, got a feeling they wish to fend us off. Worst still, they asked us to take the daughter along. Absolutely waste of time. Noted the comment of poor craftsmanship from other reader, this is the consolation we sought.

Very funny to see the feedback. Did you also notice a lot of one star? You are right the pant cost is irrelevant. I doubt those who gave 5 stars had an experience paying alteration fee of $80 for a beach short.

Amazing ladies, amazing quality and amazing service! I have a wedding this weekend and after goin to a rude RUDE clothing alterations place at stud park I didn’t think anyone could help me adjust my dress.but the brilliant ladies here saved the day and with a smile! THANKYOU ️

I brought Calibre jacket for my husband but need a bit of perfection. They told me it would cost me $50, I wash shock, I told my husband that was very cheap price compare to what the job is, when my husband put on the jacket after he collect it. I was please. I told my husband from now on I will not fix anything at home any more, I have not see a gd job like this for a long time.

Wanted pants taken in at the waist and up at the bottom of the legs. The lady said they would be done in an hour and a half. Came back to see they hadn’t even started them yet. They told me it would be another 10 minutes. I walk around for 15 minutes, go back and the lady just starts working on them. The person at the counter pretends to look for the pants in the pile of clothes when it is quite obvious that they are being worked on right in front of me. I waited for an extra 30 minutes and didn’t even get both jobs done that I asked for. I payed for both jobs however they were not taken in at the waist. Will not be returning.

Friendly service and fantastic jobs on my clothes. Never had any problems for the past few years. Thank you to the team of Alter it, will definitely keep going back.

I've taken multiple clothing items for repair to this store over the years. I have received nothing but professional, timely service each time at a cost that I believe was reasonable. Obviously some of the other reviewers forget that there is costs for materials/machine maintenance, employees wages AND rent to pay in a big shopping centre.

They dont deserve a single star, first of all they should know that they are in Australia and learn english. When i asked to reduce the length of my trouser they increased it, very bad customer service, i highly reccomed not to go to this store but other alter it stores.

This place is the worst, i gave them my pants to alter and have it by the next day and they said they lost it.
