Al's deluxe Fish n Chippery

Service was great extremely friendly however the worst fish and chips iv ever tasted over cooked on the outside under cooked on the inside the dim sims, potato cakes fish cakes tasted all the same weird burnt oil taste to everything, I would not recommend or eat hear again actually hoping we don't get sick after the few bites we ate 95% of the meal went in the bin.

So shocked to get such terrible food from this fish n chip shop. Won't be going back. Dried and tasteless grilled flake. Potato cakes with no potato. Lamb souvlaki full of gristle. Apart from 1 corn jack our entire meal was disappointing and unejoyable. I wish I could add my photos to this review. We are taking our food back as most of it was uneditable.

Food was really good. Guy behind the counter was really personable. Quick service. Exactly what you want from take away fish and chips.

Food is absolute trash second time ordering from here within a year and still no improvement.my dog didn’t even eat the food.the burger tasted like charcoal with lettuce, I could of just gotten my own charcoal in bread it would of been cheaper.and the chips I think were filtered through the sewer.

I hadn't been here in a while and I now remember why, I ordered a souvlaki combo. Pita Bread soggy, lamb burnt black and hard and chips looked like old reject chips reheated.absolute disgrace. Such a waste of money, will not be going back and would definitely not recommend.

Easily the best flake in the west suburbs, burgers are cheap and tasty, and the chips are great.

Fish cooked to much and cooking oil to old need to change oil more often. Tastes yuk not going back I use to run a fish &chip shop in my early days we changed our oil 1st a week.

Great crunchy chips thick flake yum potato cakes not oily at all. This was our first trip here and we will be back

Very dissapoiting. Will not be going back ever. They only gave me 4 of the 6 dim sims i ordered. The chips were dry, overcooked and tasteless. The battered flake was small and overcooked. The potato cakes were thick and gluggy in the center. The fish souvlaki was oily and soggy. This place use to be good but is now just terrible. Dont bother wasting your money.

Great fisn n chips! New to the area and noticed alot of take out food has a 'different ' spin on it lol
So was trying to find proper fish n chips and thankfully Dazzas food is on point.
Also really good pricing!
Oh and try the burgers too, really good!

The fish was nice, but the crunchy batter is very oily. My potato cake was burnt & the potato inside the batter is too thin hence the reason why it burnt to easy. Chips was nice & crunchy but oily as you eat it. I had to drink sprite to offset the oily food.

Reply to owner: STOP being defensive! I'm trying to help your small business grow by sharing my TRUE feedback on your food. I'm not the only one that has complained about the food being too oily. You need to improve on the food otherwise how are you going to improve your business. Also, by the time I needed to call your shop, yous had already closed. These are important reviews because your preparing food for us to consume, our lives cost way more then little businesses & money.

Best gravy & chips, I am addicted to them & I’ll be back in to try more of the menu. Less salt on the potato cake would’ve been nice as it was coated in chicken salt.

DAZZAs fish and chips are actually the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. We recently moved to the area and honestly it won’t disappoint. Everything is always so fresh and the staff are lovely. You won’t regret ordering from here!

Disappointed as they are normally quite good. Food was overcooked to the point we couldn't eat it. Hopefully a one off.

Souvalaki was full of meat and tasted great. The South Melbourne Dim Sims were also very good. Chips were a little too oily though. Very competitively priced. I’ll be back for another Souvalaki for sure.

Me and my friend ordered fish and chips tonight. It was amazing customer service and very friendly. But the food was not it. It was oily and greasy and soggy. The food was a very black colour not like golden. The flake was so rubbery and smelt weird. We are now both stuck on the toilet after eating. We chucked most of it out. But now where suffering with stomach pains. Please look into changing your oils or and maybe checking if your food is out of date Because it’s left us very unwell.

One of the best in Melton and staff always friendly.
