Alphington Farmers Market reviews
49Got all we wanted for our Christmas dinner in the market. The selection was amazing, and the people selling were so helpful.
Delightful farmers market - good value organic food.
Lovely coffee too and plenty of space for enjoying a sunny winters day.
A good range of quality produce from friendly growers and makers. Great to see Dreaming Goats cheese back but where was the Walnut lady? Stalls rotate week to week
I love this place, the environment is welcome and warm. There are lovely stalls, that's I can't help myself at and end up spending way to much at.
Best organic range of any farmers market in inner north I’ve seen. Great sitting area even a real bathroom!
Quality local Farmers Market secret is out, great variety, fresh produce; veggies, mushrooms, honey, eggs, Harcourt apples, mandarines, good sour dough bread, home made miso, Rayner's Orchard bottled fruit & homemade pies (yum!) and be sure to pick up a scollop or lobster mornay pie for something special.
Overpriced hipster market. You're better off going to another farmers market which have a better range, same quality but cheaper. Also veg stalls really need pricing otherwise you feel robbed when you go to pay. Won't be returning.
Such a great atmosphere! Delicious foods, drinks, and produce. Friendly and helpful sellers. A great place to hang out for a couple hours, and to support local producers. Thanks
Love it here. Great fresh pasta and vegetables. The coffee is great and easy parking at the train station. Donation for entry but they don't take money. They want you to pay wave your entry. Coins is easier but post covid way of life
Alphington Farmers Market is community market with local producers and farmers. The area is fairly small but there are plenty of options to shop for your groceries (vegetables, eggs, mushroom, meat, fish and more), bread and more. Open in Sundays, expect delays in getting in due to usually crowd before the opening time (9 ish). Parking is available opposite side of the road near the train station. It is very close to Darebin parklands and therefore it allows to marry both shopping for essentials and exercise. Great experience.
If you are into organics it's excellent, some of the breads are great too. Seating to have a coffee is limited, but it's a cozy family friendly environment.
The location wasn’t ideal for a farmers’ market—it was so dusty we didn’t stay long. The quality of meat available wasn’t as good as our usual sellers but we were able to find some decent veggies. We also witness some dismal behaviour, entitled people being pushy and jumping queues so we won’t be returning to this market.
Discovered it by accident. Great market for local produce, small businesses support and nice little treats for kidd
I went to this market. It was so much fun! I love buying fresh produce and feeling like I am part of the community. Safe to say, this market delivers on all fronts. - TheMarketGirlxo
It’s nice local farmers market! Very peaceful and happy place! There is always have some event! One day I joined Miso workshop, it was really fun and class teacher Saeko was so professional! She has Miso stall in the market sometimes and it’s very healthy and delicious! I love her Miso! Today there is Chef Gerry Mai and cooking Banh mi! It was soooo delicious!
Great variety of fresh produce and take away food. A short walk from Alphington station and a short line to get in with a contactless card gold coin donation. You have your fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, dairy, meat, chocolate and coffee. Each week they have different food stalls. This week they had a Vietnamese stall, baos, giant spring rolls, pies and more.
Highly recommended for the family when lockdown ends!
Always something delicious. Can recommend the bacon from La vila salumi and the milk from Shultz
Wow, what a nice genuine local hang out. Good variety of stalls. Good baked goods. Plenty of car park across the road at station and side road next to the market.gold coin donation can be done by tap and go.
Gold coin entree, dont have a problem with that, but no toilets or bins for rubbish, not happy with that.
Friendly, local. Place to go for a coffee and delish almond croissant before grabbing your weekly groceries
