Alice is fantastic! She did the tailoring for my wedding dress as she is the recommended tailor of Suzanne Harward bridal. She is an expert tailor and no nonsense with her advice on what will work and what won't! She did a wonderful job ensuring my pregnant maid of honour looked just right in her camilla and marc bridesmaid dress and did last minute tailoring for bridesmaids arriving from overseas during cup week. She even saved the hem of my silk wedding dress and trimmed it so I could use it on my bouquet. Don't be put off by other reviews on here, she is 5 star. Thanks so much Alice!

I have been to Alice many times now, and for different alteration requirements. One was an instance of crochet which needing fixing. It came out looking perfect. Another was from a tear in Scanlan Theodore tunic which the ladies applied some gorgeous grosgrain ribbon and really elevated the top. I've had Stella McCartney pants altered, and are now wearable.
I'm about to go back with some new pieces to have them tailored. Alice Haute Couture have done a perfect job every time and I haven't hesitated to recommend to friends. She also works with top boutiques and designers, don't be put off by the fake reviews.

Absolutely appalling service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRESS HERE. I took my Rachel Gilbert dress here to have the hem altered. The lady had the dress for two weeks and when I went to pick it up she advised me that she had forgotten about it.for TWO WEEKS.my sister is getting married on Friday and my dress was for her wedding. She told me she would give me a discount and would have the dress ready two days later. I then went to pick up my dress and she told me she wouldn't give me a discount for the inconvenience and stress she had caused me but would give me a complimentary garment bag and hanger instead. No thanks. I was foolish enough to take my dress here after reading all of the negative reviews but do not make the same mistake I did!

Absolutely rude, horrible lady who tried to rip me off, strung me along for weeks and then changed the price of my wedding dress alterations just 2 weeks before my wedding day and left me in tears! Please stay away from Alice as she is rude and untrustworthy. I’m absolutely disgusted and heartbroken by her sly shifty ways. Just a terrible human!

I first came to Alice in December with a dress I wanted altered. She quoted me $500 and wrote down all the work she would be doing on my quote card along with the price. I came for my second fitting in march in which she decided that the work would now be $600. I agreed to the price and made the final appointment. She told me that she would only need two weeks and to come back early April with 14 days left Since my weight fluctuates frequently. I came back for this appointment where she pinned it in the exact way she had done the previous two times. When I asked her again to confirm the price (since she'd now changed it twice) she told me that the initial two prices are last years price and now with the public holiday it would be much more. She continued so rudely to speak about how this work would now be no less than $800 and she didn't care about what She initially told me. I reminded her that she'd wrote down a quote of $600 in her book and $500 on the card she gave me but she called me a liar and that I was asking for more and more work each time. I told her to look at the notes she wrote which indicated the exact work she was doing and she told me not to argue with her and that I was wasting her time. I tried to explain to her that the card and her own appointment book had the prices $500 (her initial price and $600 in her book when she put it up) she told me that she'd been doing this for 50 something years and that I can't tell her how much her work is worth. She yelled at me, told me i wouldn't find anywhere to do it in time with the Easter break, acted like she was superior to me and told me to stop wasting her time.
This woman is by far the most disgusting, vindictive, rude woman I've ever met. She tried to take advantage of me and make her appointment as close to my event as possible to try and make it impossible to find somewhere else.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHING HERE!
I would hate for anyone to be treated the way I was and have their hearts broken this way.

I was so pleased that I found someone to transform my haute couture wedding dress it what I desired, and at a reasonable price compared with other haute couture specialists. Any issues we ran into, Alice found a way around it. She was polite and available for me as needed weeks leading up to the wedding. Thank you Alice and team for your great work! Ancuta & Naz

Lovely lady who altered my Collette Dinnegan wedding dress perfectly. The CD shop on chapel street sends their customers to Alice for alterations and I wasn't disappointed.
