I’m very happy with Alia College. It’s a beautiful setting with an excellent education. My daughter appears to be thriving there both academically and socially.

I have firsthand experience at the school. It makes me feel welcomed and seen. I give it a five star because it is the best place for a lost person to come.

The first school where I'm excited to go and to learn. Very welcome and accepting, I highly recommend coming in for a trial day or coming to an info night

I wish that there was a school like this when I was growing up. I am grateful that my kid gets to experience Alia college.

Sending my daughter to Alia College has been the best decision I have ever made! After her first day she said, “I feel like I’m part of a family there. ” All the students are so welcoming and caring. The teachers are AMAZING! As a small independent school, students receive additional support and learning catered to their individual needs. Alia also fosters real life skills, and in this environment, she is becoming more independent and mature. We have found a place where she can thrive!

Whilst i was only there for less than two full school years, as a former student i can't rate and thank this school highly enough for what it offered me, a great education, all round. Thanks to Bob and all the teachers and staff! All the best!

My daughter and I had the pleasure and honour of meeting Mr. Bob Morgan at the beginning of the year. My quest to find an alternative to the current and utterly outdated education system lead us to Alia College. I must admit that my daughter and I were left utterly amazed. My amazement came from not understanding how such an organic, diverse and soulful school managed to stay hidden! Alia College is not an 'alternative, ' school - it is a 'house for learning. ' It is the "epitome" of how a school should be according to me. Built with a loving objective to create an education system that would feed kids with a desire to search, create and eventually learn, while making sure to strictly refrain from applying any of the mainstream punishment models. There is no detention, no political correctness, no wrong, nor is there a right. There are no judgements nor are there any titles. There is however lots of love, collective discussions, lots of stimulating activities such as a huge jigsaw puzzle spread out on one big table that is open to anyone wishing to have some quiet mindfulness; a room where kids who wish to do some singing and dancing can belt out their favourite songs; an area that is similar to a general lounge where anyone can sit and read the daily newspaper or just sit and ponder. Alia College does not have a staff room. Teachers and students are equal. At the end of each day all students, Bob Morgan and some staff gather around, where ever they wish, and discuss how the day felt and exchange thoughts. Bob Morgan, according to me and my daughter is not only an educator, or founder of a school, he is a Saint that functions from the centre of his heart, and that has nothing but respect and infinite love for each and every student that he encounters. Alia College and especially Bob Morgan deserves to have a book dedicated to him. There is no nastiness, no comparison, no room for any form of brutality. Even the toilets are beautiful. Created with every bit of thought and aesthetics. There is every ounce of raw humanity and a house of learning that allows each individual to develop in his/her own time, and unique way. Alia College is an extraordinarily unique environment that nourishes individuality and tackles each and every problem in a just, authentic, and loving way. I feel grateful to have met such outstanding human being.

I think the best testament a school can be given is the presence of vibrant and active alumni community. Alia has this in abundance.

I was a student at Alia from 2013 to 2016 I then left after learning that a considerable amount of the people I had considered friends were spreading rumors about me.

In my time there I saw quite a few people with different views from the mainstream ideals at Alia get bullied and attacked because of it. I once even saw a collection of messages telling a girl to go kill her self because she expressed her opinions (of which they disagreed) in a class.

One of my friends recently got kicked out of Alia which was the catalyst to this review. He got removed from the school via a phone call where they explained the reasoning behind his expulsion. The gist of it was he was hurting peoples feelings.

A school shouldn't kick one of there students out because that student inadvertently hurt a few peoples feelings. This demonstrates to me a failure of the school to provided the very service of which they proclaim to deliver.
An education.

In my experience, Alia has exchanged the promise of a solid education and positive learning environment for an echo chamber of ideas and a toxic atmosphere where if you have even the slightest differences in opinion you will be shamed and berated.

If you are unable to to express your views freely or ask difficult questions how is student supposed to learn?

The very fact that Alia College claims to be an educational institution at all disgusts me.

Leaving Alia was (at least for the time being) the best decision of my life and it has taken me so far. I feel like Alia had placed a massive weight on my chest. It made me question myself worth and abilities. People spread rumors about me and made me feel uncomfortable in the environment and I never felt like I'd be taking seriously.

Was it all worth it for that little extra freedom?
Your choice.

If I had a child though the last place I'd send them is this school after my experiences there.

Wonderful school full of bright, funny, happy people. I was lucky to find it for my young person and am forever indebted to Bob and the rest of the staff.
