Alexandra Adventure Resort reviews
38Good facilities, and fun stuff to do. Including the pool, and the flying fox! I went here on a school camp. And we had the kookabarra cabbins! They were really old, and was in need of a refurbishehment. The door had small creaks and cracks on it. One room was really small compared to the others in the Kookabarra Cabins
Environment and views are really pretty, Staff are super sweet and so generous with food portions.highly recommend going to the tennis court at night to see the stars. Really good getaway for camps. The pool was clean, bathrooms were up to par.
Just two things
walls are pretty thin you can hear the next room
bunk beds make really loud noises if you shuffle.
- There were wasps everywhere.
- The quality of the food ranged from mediocre to awful.
- the beds were ridiculously squeaky and woke everyone up.
I didn't realize that it was such a well appointed camp for kids. But watch out for the bridge on the way into the car park
I went here for a school excursion
the activities were good but
the cabins were rundown and inadequate
and me and a couple of my friends got food poisoning
so overall you probably shouldn’t go here
Review down below - "AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE LAKE, ISTG THEY JUST PUT EVERYONE IN THE LAKE 0/5! Not covid-19 safe! #WAP "
Got to love a child ignorant of Covid.if you are going to get it out of lake water mate, you’re going to get it off a tree walking by or the wind blowing through the camp. Oh dear - the standard of our education system.
The staff smelt like poo and the chicken was soaked in bath water.the eggs had a green tinge.this camp is terrible.they did a suvival test where had to fight bears with our hands. 3 kids were lost in the woods.and we played beach volleyball on the grass.this outrageous.i heard clapping in the bathroom and the bus ride was 3 hours.pls dont come here you'll regret it.
Some people say this place is great, and some people say its OK, but either way i'm personally exited. I'm going there tomorrow.
This camp was bad, the food gave me aids and the toilets had holes in them, you wold also rather sleep on the ground than the beds and i rather make out by a horse than do the activities
I have just eaten the best school camp dinner of my 48 years of teaching! Real chicken in schnitzel form, with roast chicken as an alternative for staff (some hungrier staff went for both!), potatoes roasted with rosemary, veggies that were not soggy. Students' icecream was replaced by pavlova for the staff!
Lunch was baked potatoes with a wide range of toppings. Some potatoes were bigger than the kids heads!
Breakfast of cereal followed by scrambled eggs (optional poached, plus bacon for staff) was also better than expected.
People with special dietary needs were very well catered for - the vegan options looked terrific, and reports are that the breakfast mushrooms were cafe standard.
Apart from the meals, this venue has amazing staff accommodation, complete with pod coffee machine and tv!
Great staff, exciting and engaging activities, gorgeous location.a terrific camp!
It was not bad, the activities were fun and the cabins were clean. The food could of been better, there was literally no seasoning.
Great camp in a fantastic location!
The staff at Alexandra Adventure Resort were incredibly supportive and flexible with our needs. Furthermore, the food was tasty and the kids loved the activities. Highly recommended!
Now before anyone wants to go to this place, I’d like to give an honest review
Our school just recently went there, and from what I was told we had so many cool activities to do such as mountain bike riding, laser tag, nope, although there were some cool things like the giant swing, but we didn’t get to do many things such as rock climbing, later tag, ect
The food we got served wasn’t so great in my opinion, for example on one night we literally got served a chicken schnitzel Which was clearly just microwaved from a 6pack of coles brand chicken schnitzels, and I’m not trying to be a Gordan Ramsey here but cmon. Other then that, the food was ok
The final part I would like to say is the cabins, now let me just say these walls were cardboard thin, we could hear the next room knocking, and our teachers would assume it was our room, plus we only had three toilets among 28 kids, not to mention there was 50-60 other kids in there cabins to
This isn’t a rant as there were fun parts of the camp, but I’m just saying all this for anyone wondering what I think of this place
Thank u
It was really really bad, i couldnt wake properly for the time i was there cuz the play space got me hurt. NOT SAFE! The the cabins are very small and the beds make so much noise, it keeps me up at night and i couldnt sleep PLUS THE FOOD IS SO BAD AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE LAKE, ISTG THEY JUST PUT EVERYONE IN THE LAKE 0/5! Not covid-19 safe! #WAP
Had a lot of fun! The kids especially enjoyed it. Had a disability facility and provided meals as well.
Activities were good, but there was nothing for young kids. Should have a small play area kinda thing.
My experience at Alexandria Adventure Resort was overall a positive experience, but the shared bathrooms, which a few rooms had to share were absolutely atrocious! It looked like it had not been cleaned for a while and all sorts of bugs flew/crawled about the showers and the toilets. Moths and beetles came into the cabins, attracted to the bright light outside the door. The ensuites were actually quite nice, with their clean bathrooms and bug-free cabins, but the shared bathrooms and toilets definitely needed a fair bit of maintenance. The food was generally alright, but could have been prepared a bit better, as the instant mashed potato served was not mixed in properly, making the potatoes powdery and dry.
On the whole, the activities were quite enjoyable and the views were stunning, but the main put-off for me was the bug-filled cabins and the unclean bathrooms. Still very nice with a large lake and many fun activities and stunning views, I would go again.
Alexandra Adventure Resort was definitely a good experience. The food was decent, they had a good variety, but the packedged mash potato wasn't fully dissolving, leaving the students with raw powder to eat. The seating areas were okay, but during the summer the flies tend to come uninvited into the outside seating area.
Some rooms have ensuites, however if one does not have that then they must walking outside to the outside toilet area, where during the summer, mosiquitoes and bugs lay dead. Don't even get me started on the bathroom by the cabins across from the lake. Full of beetles, some making its way to the cabins.
The views were BREATHTAKING and waking up to a beautiful sunrise every morning was amazing. Some activities didn't really have much budget into them, but the Leap of faith, Rock climbing wall and the Flying Fox were the favourites.
