Alexander the great picture framing

Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I was met with rude and short behaviour when asking for a quote. Won’t be back. (Clearly I’m a local with many reviews, this is not a fake review)

I have had two prints and one painting framed by Alexander and they all look wonderful! Alexander took great care and it was a speedy service! Very happy

Alex and Ira are extraordinary. Not only did they do an exceptional job on the framing of eight pieces for a very reasonable price, but they also did a repair/restoration of a damaged painting, and restretched a canvas as well.

We had a hand-painted and delicate Tutankhamen papyrus which had been rolled up, neglected for 25 years. Thanks to Alex, it has come alive and looks spectacular in its new frame.

As much as you want to argue with him, Alex knows what he is doing. Trust his eye and his judgement because he truly loves art, and his educated suggestions for highlighting pieces will mean that you will be delighted, and truly love the results.

We had 2 paintings re-framed recently, Alex was very helpful and offered several options to create a new fresh look, they look fabulous!

Absolutely terrible service. They provided me a quote and guaranteed delivery. When the piece was ready to be picked up, they no longer offered delivery and multiplied the quoted price by 6. The quote was provided after I gave them the dimensions. Communication with Alex was awful as I had to keep following up and was given abrupt, unhelpful answers. Do not use this service.

Very pleased with the advice and craftsmanship of Alex and Irena when we recently had two special old watercolour paintings re-mounted. They look like new and Alex's choice of colour reallly lifted them. Fantastic work and very quick. Highly recommended!

You treated me like I was a dog. I've never in my life been treated like I was an animal. You are so cold and so rude. There are probably many more customers who feel the same way. How dare you. I had an idea of what I wanted, and Alex was able to help me realise this exactly how I envisioned, while also providing his own advice and suggestions for a great finished product. His turnaround time absolutely surprised me as I thought it would take him much longer to get the job done.

I had a quote from another framer nearby, who quoted me almost double the cost and more than twice the wait time for the same job. In hindsight, it's laughable that people like this can stay in business while true professionals like Alex are in the same area.

Visited Alexander the Great Picture Framing to get a very specific picture printed out for a special occasion. Alex assisted in selection of picture, sizing, enhancements of picture and framing. He also then went over and above any standard of normal service by basically repeating the job with another preferred image. I highly recommend using this business, it is very rare to come across this standard of service in any business these days.

I received a fantastic service from Alex last week, and that was the second time I had something done from him. I couldn't find a better framing shop specially with his advice and the quality frames and a large range to choose from.
