Alex Theatre St Kilda

Saw the Kath n Kim Lockdown parody last night and it was fabulous! Very clever and funny. Such a lovely little theatre and fun night out!

The space at the venue is beautiful and very comfortable to have a drink in before the show.
We had a great night.

Great venue, the theatre is on the second floor, but they do have a small lift to get up there. Service at bar was great.

First time attending independent theatre and it was really lovely and wholesome!
Thought it was very different having your name ticked off on entry and the bar snacks are reasonably priced.
The decor is always something to admire.

Most amazingly entertaining Aussie written comedy! We can still slug it out with the best in the theatre business thank god. Witty, naughty and yet, still with a kind hearted message that we're not all doomed, l tell ye.what's it called? You may have to divorce at 13 years to find out! So find out.and go, wait " I'm not finished yet! " It deserves the ticket price.

We are watch Not finished with you yet. And it is musical. It was hilarious and the singing is great. Highly recommended

Great venue. We were in the smaller 250 seat theatre which was great even with 30 performers and a 10-piece band for a fundraiser. Allan was amazing and the staff were so friendly. Beautiful foyer and lounge for pre, interval, and post show.

Was probably a little small for the event I went to, but nice enough. Might have been my phone but mobile data reception inside was terrible and couldn't find a login to their guest wifi.

Great location near cafes and eateries. Cosy theatre, historic decor. Toilets could do with an upgrade.

A wonderful venue. 2 theatres. A 500 seat and one maybe around 300. Both super comfy and intimate. Not a bad seat in the place. Great murals and artwork inside too. Cool place

A community venue that is appreciated by artists and audiences alike. Has a good size foyer for socialising before and after the film.

Misfits Show was awesome, the hosts will hopefully allow them to make this an annual event:) Wonderful theatre, easy viewing

It was terribly hot in the upper section, no air con or fans and everybody was saying the same thing. Some poor young man walked out as he was so red in the face from the heat. Fix the ventilation and air conditioning ASAP as you are at risk of a law suit through poor health and safety.

Very pretty foyer and very comfortable in the theater but toilets were very disappointing for such a nice theater. One toilet leaking another closed and one of three taps not working properly needs an update

The design of the theatre should be upgraded.in case an emergency occurs, can they evacuate people quickly? I was there a week ago and realised the doors are too narrow.it took a while for us to leave after the show.
The ventilation is also a big problem.not enough fresh air in the room. There were also sound and microphone issues during the show.

Best of Melbourne and St Kilda. Great atmosphere and artsy environment with appreciation for arts. Very decent croud and great shows.

Overall, the hall is ok, seat positioning is not very comfy, and you cannot sea the stage if someone with average height seat in front of you.

Went here for a convention and was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and atmosphere of the venue, comfy seating, great immersive feeling in the small cosy theatre spaces, good sound, and great location. Highly recommend coming to.this venue

The toilets didn't have toilet paper, and the taps were broken. The door also couldn't close. Other than that the actual theatre was pretty good.
