Alencia Wedding Reception & Function Space

My wife and I just had our wedding on the 28th October in Alencia. Sam went above and beyond for us. Anything we needed he was there to help us and ensure our day was extra special. He was great in communication and everything was perfectly organized. Anyone looking to have their wedding I highly recommend Alencia. Everything was perfect

Very classy venue. It is large and has many rooms that accommodate functions such as weddings.

Sam was amazing in making sure everything ran smoothly. From our first meeting to the end it all felt comfortable and easy. Very reliable and trustworthy! Thank you so much for hosting our wedding day and making sure it was a day that we loved and will never forget!

Just been to a wedding at this venue on the weekend and I am one to always support businesses with reviews. The venue is really beautiful and the set up is really well thought of. One thing I just couldn't get past was how rude, blunt and inconsiderate some of the staff were (the main older staff, who were running the floor staff)
1. The rooms were way too cold, it was like an igloo whilst you start the night and you're sitting down.
2. When asked for for the air-conditioning to be turned down or off by multiple people, whilst the staff were accomadating to begin with, they started to be rude and snappy when asked for it to be turned on whilst all the guests were dancing as it was too hot.
3. Staff were serving the mains by walking through and interrupting the wedding performances and speeches and in front of photographers whilst he's taking photos of the speeches.
4. Staff seemed very disorganised and not welcoming (the least of all pretend to be happy).
Drinks on the table even water not refilled.
Bridal table had to go to the bar to order drinks as well.
5. Deserts were cleared just as fast as it was served. Maybe a announcement that dessert is served? Esp if it's frozen or icecream.
6. Hospitality is about making sure people are happy and satisfied. When that's not achieved then it's time to re visit basics and see what can be improved.

I really hope the staff are made aware especially the in house head waitress and floor staff are either retrained and or more professional staff are hired. Please read the room and people and make them feel comfortable with the temperature in the rooms.
These are happy occasions that happen in this beautiful venue, and to have such an unpleasant experience with staff is something people will never forget or look past.

I've been to a huge number of reception centres and the food presentation and the way it was cooked is second to none.
Helpful staff with a smile (very unusual) and the reception itself was clean and modern

Sam and his team here at Alencia are just fantastic. To the food, professionalism, venue absolutely everything is just perfect!

We had our wedding here last weekend and all of our guests were just left stunned with the food in how beautiful it was! Sam is such a Pleasure to deal with throughout the lead up to the wedding and made the process so easy stress free!

I didn't enjoy this place at all, rude staff, food not great. Me and my daughter was served bolognese pasta I told them iam allergic she just rolled her eyes and slammed down a creamy mushroom pasta walked off I asked about changing my daughters as I didn't want to take the risk she was giving a creamy mushroom pasta. I was worried because she never had mushroom and just being 2 I was hoping no allergies. It didn't get better my daughters lunch was served she was asleep. I covered up her lunch to go and receive my daughters tropie and ribbons I came back and lunch plates where fine and my daughters baby food pouches not even open. Her chicken still there so I picked it up so she could eat. The lady tried taking it off me saying they need to wash up I said my daughter is eating. She replied you can't take the plate I said iam not I am going to sit down and eat. She kept going on about her plate so I had to tip my daughters food in her asscesorrie box. Dessert was served my daughter at her ice cream. We where called up again to see who would win more trophies or ribbons I noticed adults Dessert served but I couldn't go up yet. I finally got up to go have my Dessert but table was empty I asked where is my Dessert I not eating since the pasta was brought out. I payed for my Dessert so I should get to eat it. She said we taken them all away to clean up. I said well you could of made a announcement that if anyone wants there Dessert they have been served and we will be clearing the tables soon. I felt rushed food came out so slow then the staff came back out again in 10 minutes clearing tables no time to eat was such a horrible experience. My daughter at the end was so hungry she kept trying to pick up food off the floor felt so bad I couldn't give her food because they had thrown out my baby food also.
After all this I went and got my daughter changed and my friend when she came out of the bathroom walked over to me past the bar she slipped over and fell flat on her face it was lucky her daughters dress was in her arms and covered her face. She has a bad back already and still now after the fall has bad back pain. I told the staff and she was not helpful and didn't seem to care or worry. I was not going to write a review as I decided to just email but not got a response but my friend did and there response was poorly and didn't seem to care about her falling. BST do a great show buy this venue let everyone down. I also was not the only one complaining about there chicken or cold food or Dessert been taken away. Very disappointed

The food is exquisite. The variety, the portion sizes and the taste (most important factor) are amazing.
Waiting staff are discrete and quick. The venue itself is very nice, bright and clean.
There is a convenient carpark right outside, plus a door person!

This was the first time our kids school held their valedictory dinner at this venue. Great service, top good and a wonderful venue for the occasion

Where do I start? First Sam was so generous and was able to meet our needs. Alencia was so beautiful, clean and the staff was sooooo amazing, service with a smile A+ They went far and beyond. Food was hot and portions was just right. Will always be my number 1 venue in Melbourne to use. THANK YOU SAM AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL STAFF FOR A MEMORIAL NIGHT. Will definitely see you again

We had our wedding at Alencia and I cannot thank Sam enough for the great service provided.
The venue is just beautiful and modern.
The food was great and good sized meal portions.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Absolutely amazing venue, amazing food (quality and quantity…. My food was still hot when I received it) and last but not least the wonderful staff and their service? They catered to every need. Above and beyond. Definitely made our night a memorable one! Alencia we’re coming back for sure!? ️

Went to a wedding here and all is good but when they started dinner, I found a dead cricket? In my place. Came with the roasted chicken. When I got up and took my plant to one of the staff member she had the look of annoyance at me for pointing out that there is a dead insect in my food. Without a word or apology she just grabbed my plate and walked back inside the kitchen and when she came out she had other food platers in her hands (they were not for me). Anyways a men was standing in the bar area so she turned around to him and said "this one is here to complain" in a annoyed/rude manner as if I'm not standing right in front of him.
He asked me what's wrong told him there was a dead cricket in my food, he was also non apologetic, told me "what can we do? Its seasonal food. ". He handed me another plate expecting me to just go back and eat.now I've worked in hospitality for 4 years never did I ever say "what can I do it's seasonal food". That was not an apology nor was a good excuse.

Other then the dead insect in my food, the venue is nice, has enough car spaces and all.

But overall I was disappointed by the food and more by the staff. Wouldn't go back ever.

Such a stunning venue & food was AMAZING the only let down was couldn’t take left overs (aka untouched food) home as needed to supply own containers. Entrees were so big, it felt like a main and when the main did come out we were absolutely full! I’m a big eater too. Not sure if this is the 1st wedding where people haven’t touched their food, but please advise future events to byo containers! Everything was as flawless as the staff! Thank you so much!? ️
