ALDI St Kilda reviews
58Always cheap. In this time of increasing costs, I can't find better prices! Remember to bring your bags
Staff are so helpful & friendly, stocks are starting to fill shelves. One good thing the prices have stayed nearly the same, not like woollies & coles going up
Michelle served me tonight. She was so incredibly warm as I checked out. I was so impressed by her professionalism and composure during a tirade from a rude woman checking out before me who was trying to buy alcohol without ID. I’ve spent my whole life in retail and I was so impressed with how Michelle calmly handled the situation when the irrational woman acting was trying to antagonise her. I shop here weekly, Michelle has been the best to date.
I have never given a supermarket a review before but I just had such a pleasant experience here.
Super clean and nice. Staff were kind and helpful to me.
I often witness mild chaos at self check outs but this was one was so quick, easy and pain free.
My experience with this store is usually good except on one occasion. A very thorough young lady 'hand picked' me for a search of my shopping bag and then my hand bag. I don't think I looked unusual or impoverished but it was more of a case that she wanted to prove herself to be a perfect employee. Her supervisor should tell the staff to be more sensitive to their customers' feelings, as this sort of situation is not good for Aldi's business.
Respect to the full time security guard that's always there! He honestly makes EVERYONE from all walks of life feel comfortably welcome. I wish there were more decent guys like him doing the job. Maybe he should look at training all of the ones from other retailers who are the opposite to what this guy delivers. Thank you
ALDI is good value!
Extraordinary they didn't have baskets too so with
Only mega trolleys
I do my big shop every week at ALDI St. Kilda. I LOVE THAT i KNOW WHERE EVRYTHING IS LOCATED. AND THERE IS LIMITED CHOICE, SO NO NEED TO DECIDE! The Service is Great and Quality of everything is really good.
Aldi is Aldi.prepare to pack your own stuff but cheap cheap cheap.over the course of a year huge savings
Like all Aldi's, perfect. This one is a fairly large store with heaps of weekly specials and promotions.
Parking can be a nightmare, but the store itself is great.aways have very friendly staff and stock is always plentiful
I love Aldi, perhaps a little too much according to my kids and I have been to lots of Aldi's across Australia. There is something about St Kilda Adi that doesn't sit well. The layout is different and they dont seem to carry everything that other Aldi's do.
Located on a peaceful street unlike other stores. They have wheelchair accessible entrance. And as usual great place for grocery shopping.
Well.what can I say about Aldi? A true bargain and can get some presents to boot. Nicer food, cheep and much better quality, goodbye Safeway especially Coles, over rated. Also Save more is another awesome place to shop for cheap and bulk items. They change there foods from time to time
Your alcohol policy is quite hysterically baffling. I came in with my 31 year old wife who didn’t have a drivers license with her. Of course it was a compliment for her to be thought of as under 18, however I most definitely did not look under 18 and was carrying my drivers license with me. Staff refused to serve me. I dropped the shopping in the car, along with my wife and popped back into the store to finish buying the wines, and still the staff refused to serve me. To be frank; I’m not sure if I need to wait 24 hours to return again or what.but I’m still confused, as was every other patron in there that witnessed the events unfold. It’s a pity, because I do love Aldi, however I must admit, your staff are a little arrogant for my liking. Kills me to have to give a 2 star as I love the brand, but sorry it just had to be done ️
This is a straight forward Aldi. The stairs to get in are weird, you kind of have to get around a little gate. There is a ramp though! There’s a little alcohol section. It’s fine? Idk. Usually everything is clean and neat.
Super clean store. Ample amount of supplies of goods in the past but recently the number of choices are very very limited and you can barely find items. The staffs are okay but I think they should be more bubbly and hold a smile on their face or atleast a presentable look rather than giving a gloomy look to the customers. These are the things the store can certainly work on. I like this store but rated 3 stars because the main ingredients of professionalism in the service industry is missing there at the moment. So to conclude with, more stock of items and proper customer service.
Plenty of easy parking. Provision of hand sanitiser and trolley wipes. Shelves well stocked, some of my usual products seem to be out of stock. Fresh mac'n'cheese and frozen berries. Middle aisle is uninspiring at the moment. The queues for the tills were fast-moving and the staff member was cheerful. Full trolley $275. Better than Coles.
Aldi is just a great place. The quality & pricing is great. Plus the staff are highly oganised as soon as the checkout gets busy they immediately put on more staff. Personally this is one of the best managed aldi stores I have ever been too.
Tried to go to this store to buy some garden supplies/promo but there was a huge queue outside so we had to go elsewhere
