ALDI Prahran reviews
56First time back in a while, really upped their game with fresh speciality breads and pastries. Even more in the special items area but seems like the store is bigger somehow. Their jams are much more reasonably priced than at Cole's or Woolies, but equally tasty.
Pretty decent Aldi store with an extended takeaway range and bakery section (croissants, sandwiches, sushi etc).
Unfortunately the new self-serve checkouts are not that great if you have a large trolley and there is not always someone working the larger checkout. This can make it pretty tedious scanning and reloading your trolley.
Free 1-hour parking if you spend $30 or more is very convenient.
Good aldi right next to the market and way parking opposite.
You get 1 hour free parking if you spend over 30$
I love shopping here, good service helpful staff and new addition self billing counters.sooo convenient
New self serve POS is dreadful. Takes so long, requires sales assistant multiple times to reset, only big enough to accommodate a small basket so no point doing a proper shop. And no alternative offered. Some okay products but not worth the hassle.
Easiest and best laid out Aldi around, next door to the market and car park is free if you spend over $30 and have your parking ticket stamped.
Nice place since they renovated it. Always full shelves and nice selections of produce. Only downside are the self checkouts.you spend more time waiting for assistance.
Descent size store with slow register's due to 1 or 2 open. Edit Renovated new look even more confusing then it was before. New self serve register's 6 I think, for (card only) I don't know what they were thinking.
This ALDI is super close to my gym which makes it super convenient and worthy of a visit every other day. Always well stocked and extra well priced. ALDI is undoubtedly one of the best supermarkets in Australia
Good quality products for even better price. Short range of options in many cases, though. Don't expect to find more than one brand in many products. Gets really busy on Sunday mornings.
Aldi appears to be better supplied than their competition. Prices too do not seem as high as Woolworths' and Coles' in the current period of rising inflation. The real benefit is that one is less likely to come upon LNP voters or Politicians. Aldi has a carefully calibrated supply chain and appears not to be using the current economic challenges as an excuse to raise prices. I bought a steak for $6 as opposed to the Coles version for $9.
Poor service and rude staff after waiting in line for some time the server gave attitude, after showing him my backpack, he firstly did not look then asked again to look, and then continued to give me a lecture as said he has the right not to sever customers, I said then don't.so I had to hand back all the items, slowing down the wait, all because he is having a bad day never going back
Usual Aldi store, cheap stuff, usual stock. 15-20min walk from Prahran station. Parking is difficult but you get one hour of free parking in the carpark if you spend over $30 (carpark usually has room).
I'm a fan. Got some great deals. Missed out on some too. (get in early!)
Check your specials. No bar fridge, but they did have wine coolers.
EDIT: Got my puppy goodies. Got some (hospital?) Brandy. I was the next customer after Gary Ablett. FUN - hey Tracy!
Best in the business.
20%+ lower $'s than other 3 Nationals, quick & easy and great Specials eg for guys (and gals) 'jocks and socks'
Who doesnt love aldi prices. But they lack so many essentials that it can be quite annoying. No Chutney. No wax strips, no hair dye.these are my essentials and i like it all in one place. Im hoping they this is something they are working on. If so ill never shop elsewhere again.
When you leave the checkout, make sure you move to the side and count your change. This Aldi has the trouble of giving the wrong change. I finally had it this morning (23/8/21 at 8.43am) that's why I'm writing this review. My total was $34.60, instead of giving me back 40 cents and a $10 and $5 note, which is the easiest way, the guy gives me a whole bunch of coins which add up to $5.40 (5 cents, 10 cent, 50 cent, $1, $2, he gave me everything but the 20 cents) and a $5 note. I stopped and counted and was $5 short. They try to confuse you by giving a lot of coins hoping you don't count it. I'm telling you count your change
Missing one star because I cannot call to check product availability and price before coming to the store.
Often purchased items that are (in my opinion) deceptive in their names and packaging. Otherwise this Aldi has most needs.
The worst experience. Dan - Assistant Manager had zero customer service when dealing with us. Yes, we excited ourselves via a closed lane as lines at checkouts were long and we were not purchasing. We were lunged at and treated like criminals, his attitude was disgusting and he justified it based in a prior experience. Yes, happy to show you our bag. Yes, happy to follow the rules and exit the store through open checkouts BUT polish up your customer service and speak to us with respect. Drop the attitude and show a bit of courtesy and respect! A change in his approach and I would not be writing this review.
