ALDI Northland reviews
41Great deals. Don't look at the middle lane if you're trying to save. It's addictive
The wait time to pay at the cashier is ridiculous. Place totally understaffed. Even worse than other ALDIs. It's the closest ALDI from my home but I avoid it whenever I can.
I'm a little disappointed came in to buy a car cover and there were nun couldn't find anyone to talk to
Where I live is equal distance between two ALDIs, but this is my preferred. Usually stocked well. If Aaron is working, it brightens up the experience. Winston on the checkout is welcome. There’s another woman there who I avoid (name?) - calls everyone darling, over the top fake niceness and actually puts her hands in my shopping bag and rifles around to check if I’ve stolen something. Pretty sure that’s not allowed.
Often visit Northcote Plaza and Northland SC stores. Prices are, in general, cheaper than competitors but continuity and, in fruit and vegetables, quality can be problematic.
They don't have better value than others but just limited choices and less labor costs
This guy so call manager, his name is ROSS!
I don't understand how Aldi employ someone incompetent, the way he spoke to me absolutely disgusting! All I ask was to empty the bin, so people could put the wipes in a clean bin, he didn't acknowledge me, so I said hello, this Ross went crazy, told me he would kick me out of the shop, told me to, get lost and shup up! If this man can't handle the pressure LIVE! He should not work as a manager or for Aldi.
I went to Aldi with my last few dollars to buy some food and other basics for my family. I'm disabled and require medication, which I keep in my bag.
It's stressful enough that I have to navigate the shop with so few customers concerned about other vulnerable people's health, as they meander around with no masks.
Lining up to pay, I felt safe seeing the sign above the registers reassuring customers that consumer law was on their side.
I placed the few basic items I'd chosen onto the conveyor belt, but was stopped by a woman, I believe called Marie, at the register.
She asked to look in my bag. I politely refused as the contents of my bag are a sensitive matter and my medications are personal, strictly between my doctor and I.
The cashier demanded to look in my bag, so I again politely declined, explaining that the law and searches.
I have no criminal record and have never given anyone a reason to need to look in my bag. They are more than welcome to check my movements on their CCTV recordings.
Then, in front of everyone, Marie recruits another cashier to come over to gang up on me, again telling me that I must open my bag. This is a lie. I again politely decline.
In front of everyone, I was refused service, not allowed to make my purchases, then ejected from the shop.
Exhausted, humiliated and deeply upset by the whole experience, I could only manage to buy some chips on the way home for my family's dinner.
Aldi must really look into their authoritarian use of personal searches. I've never been treated that way by any other supermarket, which is where I'll be headed next time.
When an empty box with 3 items are on the checkout rail its equally easy to keep the items in the box and then roll over to the customer when compared to dumping the box and the items on the customer. Great customer service is when the CSO chooses to do the latter!
Staff are Everage service, the price of the item in Aldi supermarket are cheaper a little bit compared with other stores
Not usually packed like some stores, plus quick to open registers if lines do develop? Staff generally helpful and knowledgeable.
Love Aldi, the staff are friendly and very helpful, the store is clean and its always a pleasure to shop here.
Nicer layout than other Aldi stores - but as per typical Aldis - their speed at the checkout always feels a bit rude and makes me leave their feeling a bit cheap. Fresh fruit and veg is not worth buying here when the market is much cheaper, fresher and uses less packaging. However, the Aldi range of flavoured peanuts keeps me coming back for more.
Aldi always has good products!
Their kumato's (green tomatoes) are a couple of dollars cheaper than the exact product in the big chain supermarkets (Coles/Woolies)
Service is always friendly
Only drawback is that I always miss the special buys cos I can't be there for the doors to open and all that's left is the stuff that noone wants.
Another good ALDI. Good layout. Plenty of room to move in this store. Great range of fresh and frozen foods.
Its quite a big store.nice and clean looking.staff very friendly.whole experience was pleasant.
Today I went there and one of the staff make my angry. She searched my stuff and that made me angry because I felt that I was a thief. This first time that happened to me I will never back again.
Sometimes you'll find what you need, and sometimes you'll find what you didn't know you needed.
Brand new renovations make this place so much better. Aldi is a great place to save a little bit of money on the core things you need from a supermarket. This location is convenient located in the grocery area of northland, and has recently had a makeover so its modern and spacious.
