Just had the most mouthwatering meal at Alankar! Every bite was a flavor explosion, and the presentation was top-notch. From appetizers to desserts, the culinary experience was simply divine. Can’t wait to go back for more! Highly recommend for anyone craving exceptional food.

I went in there for the first time to order some food, while I was giving my order at the counter, I could see chef in the back put his finger in the food and then licked it for taste test. As soon as I saw that I left without ordering food. This is totally unacceptable. Hygiene should be top of the list.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the exquisite Alankar Indian restaurant, 2/649 Waverley Road, Glen Waverley, and I must say it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable culinary experience.

The Alankar’s menu was a treasure trove of Indian culinary treasures, offering a remarkable array of dishes that showcased the diversity and complexity of the cuisine. The menu was a tantalizing blend of traditional and innovative North & South Indian, Dosa, and Indo-Chinese dishes showcasing the rich and diverse flavors of the region. Each dish was meticulously prepared with the finest ingredients, resulting in a symphony of tastes that danced on my palate. The flavours were bold, yet perfectly balanced, leaving me craving more with every bite. The flavors that graced my palate were nothing short of extraordinary. Every bite revealed a harmonious blend of spices, creating a symphony of tastes that delighted my senses. From the tangy and aromatic sambar to the creamy and decadent coconut chutney, each accompaniment elevated the dishes to new heights, enhancing their authenticity and depth. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every dish. Freshly sourced produce, aromatic herbs, and carefully selected spices were expertly combined to create dishes that were bursting with flavour. Some of the most authentic Dum Biryani you can get in Melbourne. The Chilli Chicken was great too. We’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant is great, it's cozy and I went during a time where it was low key and not prime time. Still the place had a relaxed atmosphere very suitable for when you get cravings one evening.

We had Idli with sambhar, Onion dosa and Paneer chilli, we loved it, few things still can be improved, like salt in Sambhar was less, some Paneer pieces were chewy. But overall our experience was good, very very cost effective. Good service and coming back again and again.

Quality and quantity both are not good. We can compromise with quantity if quality good. Half cook rice, some chapati half cooked and some burnt. Lentil, goat curry, dosa, tried to ate one bite each to thought may be one be delicious but attempts fail so many time. Spent 40 minutes to wait and waste money. So disappointed

I have tried non veg thali and chicken 65 briyani. Non veg thali is really good and must try.

Good service & clean restaurant. We ordered chicken 65, veg thali & biryani for the grownups … Could be that we are not a fan of ghee and we felt the food is v heavy. My son, who is a fussy eater, loved their dosa.

Really nice food at reasonable price. All the items we ate in Alankar were awesome. We tried puri-bhaji, biryani, veg Thali, everything had it's unique flavor. It's not a fine dining restaurant but would highly recommend this place for a quick bite.

Pathetic customer service. On the whole 3 familes in restaurant, the wait was unending and have to leave after 20 minutes. No one attends you. The families there were waiting from even before me, nothing served to them. Its a Tuesday not even a weekend.

This is the best restaurant in Glen Waverley. I waited for 10 minutes and got my order. It is worth for the Quality and prices. For 4.99 a plain dosa.oh god. Good customer service and got special chicken biryani. Highly recommend.
