Alamanda K–9 College reviews
33This boy who goes to my school is horrible. He always smells bad, talks about eating fruit salad with chocolate and always eats eggs. Like my comment if you know who I am talking about. #year9 #guesswho
I was a student at Alamanda from 2016-2019 and now in East Doncaster Secondary. I had lots of memories in that school and in my eyes, the school is excellent, top notch facilities for real and nice teachers. I really want to go back and have a look.
Alamanda is an okay school.its not the best, but things like exhibition, excursions & camp are fun & educational.some of the teachers here are a bit rude, like treating certain students unfairly or getting them in trouble for small things by what i have experienced. I have been at this school for 7-8 years & id say that primary school was most fun.
Great School, zoned school, high volume of kids. Everyone is dedicated to do their best for the kids
I MEAN.its not bad ig but like this one assistant principal last year was so fricking biased and the way they "deal" with bullying in primary.secondary is better but like i would rather go to a diff school honestly.
Best school ever, used to go here it was amazing. Teachers were so nice and amazing, definitely recommend 10/10
Went to this place in 2018 with my 18 y/o sister. Amazing place with them cross country thing, won the running part. My sister worked in the cafe and it was amazing. I wish to come back.
So I am currently a Year 9 student at Lara Secondary. But I attended Alamanda College from 2013-2021 and while I was there I had an absolutely fantastic time. Only once I left to join my new school I then realised the problem with Alamanda. The lack of testing. There is NO TESTING whatsoever. Now, the kids may think thats great, however in the long term when they graduate and go to Year 10 and have to start testing they are going to be stressed and annoyed and not have a great life. This is exactly what happens when you leave to join a new school. JOBSON OUT!
The school is good, many activities, but the reception service is very weak.
Face to the question, they replied 'how would i know. ' Not professional and well trained.
This school is the best I feel like I belong and I really recommend sending you r children here. 10 stars If I could.
Decent school, but teachers are very biased, and people cheat into the high ability class. Avoid if possible.
I go to this school and its the best! Its very big oh and the best part is when girls start growing up the bathrooms have think if yk what i mean BUT YES i think you should go to this school its very welcoming:)
Principle thinks the school is the best, took them to have 10+ active covid cases to close the school.does not prepare kids for high school at all.terrible school
I relapsed into hitting baccy cones every morning because of the "No vaping or smoking" signs around the school. Also got bullied every day for wearing my freddy fazbear fursuit to the book fair.
A very respectful school! We moved home and had to make my son change to another school which has 100 score but both myself and my son still believe Alamanda is better after changing school for a year. Teachers and arrangements are very responsible and caring. You’re the best, Alamanda!
I go there myself and everyone there is so so nice and they are very flexible I 100% recommend to parents that there kids are just starting school
The school is ok but the reason for the review is my little brother came home crying because a teacher was being mean, what happened was he spelt a word wrong and she called him "dumb" and after that I told my family I don't want him in that school anymore, so we ended up moving to Kinglake. I wouldn't recommend
I've attended this school for 7 years (2014-2020) but I'll embark on a new journey now at a different school. It's an excellent public school. Students who are/will attend this school should be excited and prepared when going into their Secondary Program and strive to get into the School's Accelerated Program Everest. I've learnt a lot from this school, developing my skills in English, Mathematics and Social Health. The school continues to grow and there are admirable teachers such as Ms Russell and Mr Soo who have made my 2020 year a good one to bow out from this school.
Ok, I've changed my view on this school. Legit the worst reason for getting told off ever, shooting mini water guns at me and my friends away from everyone else. Teacher comes over and takes them away, there's nothing to do at all and this is what we found fun but there's a secret "No fun rule". I see people sneak phones and play games in class all the time and most of the time teachers pretty much ignore it
I like doing the art class and doing food technique but I have been bullied loads of times. I was in Alamanda, while I was in prep to year two I got bullied throw thoughts years. I even told the teacher and the principal what had happen but they just asked me to deal with it. I felt terrible in the years. I am not saying that this school is bad but I think this school can improve better in the future if possible.
