I have purchased from their Barefoot shoe range, (amazing and rare to be able to find beautiful shoes in a barefoot style), and I absolutely love them: they have a quality of craftsmanship that is not easily found these days, and are so comfortable. Can and Serenay are lovely people to work with: they make the extra effort to help and provide an excellent service. Communication is always easy and clear. It’s wonderful to find a small artisanal business like this, and I am very happy to support them. Highly recommended!

I like shopping at the South Melbourne market. When my wife and I passed by Akana, one of the owners is very sales oriented and he went beyond and above to ensure that his customers leave happy. My wife ended up purchasing four pair of shoes, on three separate occasions. She is happy with their products hence being a return customer.

I recommend Akana. My wife is happy with their products, they are easy to maintain and they really last a long time.

I bought my first pair on 28 sept 2022 at South Melbourne Market. I saw how beautiful the shoes are and the lady boss told me they are handmade leather shoes. I always am a fan for leather items as I believe it will last longer. Initially, I was hesitant with the price of AU190 but once I tried the shoes, I am convinced to buy it.

I just wore the shoes today on 30th sept to work and now I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. The shoes DID NOT GIVE ME ANY BLISTERS and really comfy to wear despite being heavily pregnant. Looking forward to buy my next pair with them! Thank you Serenay!

Amazing sandals. I worn mine every day for 8 months while I was in QLD They are still comfy & look as good as they did when i bought them. The best value & leather soles were amazing.

AKANA has a large variety of colours and I just can't stop buying shoes for myself and my partner from here. Even their sandals and bags are absolutely gorgeous. They look so good with everything and the owners have a fantastic style themselves and can show you how to style them with your outfits.

Well! We have known this beautiful business less than a year and already my husband and I have two pairs each and I cannot wait to get their new cosy Mules (fluffly ones in the pics)!
The comfort of these shoes is incredible and is only properly understood after trying them on. The hardest bit is actually choosing a colour from the array of amazingly chosen shades. They are great to walk around in all day and absolutely lovely to your floors and carpet as little inside slippers too.

Finally found the perfect shoes for warm and cold weather. They are well made and stylish enough to wear wherever you go. The akanas are super lightweight and the insoles are very soft and comfortable enough to walk a lot.

So comfortable and so versatile. Beautiful soft feel and stylish regardless of the occasion. Very happy with my buy, thanks a heap!

I bought first pair of their shoes about a week ago, staff was so friendly with choosing the color and size (I have small feet so it’s not always easy!)
They understand process of making and working with artisan directly which made it more special.

It is so comfortable and goes well with many styles as well. Highly recommended.
