Ajisen Ramen Glen Waverley

Always tasty filling food at this Japanese restaurant. I am never disappointed. Had the Gyoza Ramen today and it was delicious!

I always a fan of their Ramen but last time I ordered the grilled mackerel and it was soooo fishy. Maybe it’s the characteristic of this kind of fish? But it was better when I ordered the same thing from the other restaurants.

Their miso soup was alright but serving very small ($5 with a bowl of rice)

Great place for some ramen in the Glen Waverly area. Flavours from the first time I visited was amazing. Came back the second time and was just short of the first experience but neverthless would still visit again. My go-to is the Chasyu Ramen, followed by the Karaage Ramen (with some chasyu of course). The spicy gyoza is a definite must as well!

The menu and smell of the broth reminded me of the old school Ajisen Ramen from the 2000's. However, this place restaurant sadly lacked the atmosphere that one expects from a franchise chain restaurant that originated from Japan.

The staff did not wear appropriate uniforms. It felt like you were being served by your friend's uncle at their family Chinese restaurant. Nothing wrong with that, just not what is expected from an Ajisen Ramen chain. There was a lot of shouting between the kitchen and the restaurant floor, that adds to the chaotic atmosphere. The food came and had missing components (egg) and a side of rice.

The broth was typical Ajisen Ramen. Delicious and expected. Unfortunately, that is where the compliments end. The classic tori katsu (fried crumbed pork) was cooked to an inch of it's life and the meat tasted slightly questionable. The crumb (or lack thereof) was flat and dark, suggesting the piece was pre-fried some time ago.

Do yourself a favour and give this shop a miss. It went past it's best use date many years ago.

If I could give zero I would. Disgusting food. Teriyaki udon was pathetically prepared. Shredded beef, rice and cabbage in a watery brown sauce. That is NOT a udon. Never go back.

Waited for more than an hour for our food to come, and when it did come, it was bland and some of the items have been substituted. Other people who came much later somehow able to get their order first. Prioritising app order rather than dine in.

I love this Ramen place! Staff are all pleasant and foods are yum yum! Never too crowd and just feel peaceful as I am dining there!

Ordered tonkatsu ramen (which is No. 1 product in the store) and takoyaki (which is No. 2 product). The soup was decent. The noodles tasted normal (kinda like what we can buy from asian stores). The tonkatsu tasted like they took frozen pork out of the freezer and then deep fried the pork straight away. The meat was not tender. The takoyaki was great tho! The sauce and the fillings were perfectly balanced. Also you get 5% off if you pay cash ;).

Always a fav - spicy spare ribs ramen is perfection and ebi mayonnaise is delish. I get the edamame every time but do find that it can be overdone and under salted which could be an improvement. If you want to order entree followed by main, order the entree first, eat it, then order your main. Despite requesting entrees numerous times the ramen always tends to come out before the entrees! Little fixes but overall do love this place and the ramen is a goodie for a chain eatery.

This is my favourite ramen place in Melbourne, everything is consistently brilliant with service to match!

Flavoursome ramen, super filling, good portion. Loved the spicy rib ramen, and the delicious soft boiled egg!

This place is horrible, I ordered take away and the portion where so small for such expensive prices. The ramen for some reason was very bitter, and the chashu had no falvor and was colorless. They had also only given half an egg and 1 slice of the thinnest piece of Chashu.

I had a very tasty Bento Box with salmon while my friend had the chicken karage. A bit pricier than elsewhere. Well laid out simple dine in experience. Order from tablet on table. Pleasant efficient service. On site clean toilet. Tables set for 2 or 4. Bench seating. Convenient location on Kingsway.

Went on a busy weekend towards closing, greeted from far of by Multitasking service staff, nice and friendly, didn't rushed for taking order took order on table as we didn't had tablet to punch our order directly.

We ordered Chashyu Ramen and Sizzling Sea food platter

Chashyu Ramen: Excellent Pork broth with tender and cut think pork slices with warm Noodles with very little mushrooms. Spot on, fast service since it's prepared.

Sizzling Sea food platter: Beautiful mixed sea food platter with very rich prepared white sauce (cream and butter) I suppose but bang on buck for taste. Could have been slightly more seasoned but that's each to their taste.
The fact it says SIZZLING SEA FOOD PLATTER and it's not sizzling puts me off as I'm a sizzler lover and now a days it's so uncommon to get what you see described in menu, henceforth

The soup taste pretty good and the tofu is brilliant. But my order is chashu and the meat is cold in my ramen.not a good taste when the food is half hot and cold.

Very below average
The chicken was like rocks the chicken look like it has been kicked a few times before its death, even my hungry dog did not like it.
The ramen was a packet mix and the edamame where soggy no sprinkle of salt, soft like mushy peas.
Never to return even if they paid me

I am a certified ramenothermologist and I received training in Tokyo and Istanbul. The temperature of my Chasyu Ramen with extra egg was 0.35 degrees Celsius off the ideal level. I am very disappointed by this. However, I am compelled to give this place three stars as they forgot to take my payment.

Excellent service and food. I love ramen and they do very good ramen. I highly rate it and would recommend it to anyone that loves ramen. They hace lots of great sides to go with your ramen. I highly recommend giving them a try!

Great ramen chain that hits the spot for japanese food. Certainly not the best but its chain restraunt.
