Not the greatest seafood. We got a bad batch of off seafood whilst on holidays in January. We were up again on the weekend. Although the seafood wasn’t off as such, it wasn’t the freshest either. We are used to super fresh seafood from the camberwell and South Melbourne markets. This seafood place does not compare at all unfortunately. You would think being so close to the sea, it would be amazing. We will not return again now, we did give it a second chance. I did give it 3 stars because the prawn were ok. The coffin bay oysters were dreadful, tiny which is unusual for Coffin Bay oysters. Plus they had a strange look & smell about them. 3 dozen, a total waste of money.

Hubby purchased a kilo prawns today 6.4.23 at $54 a kilo the prawns were in- edible & had to be thrown away, the smell when opening the bag had us both dry retching. We have family in the seafood industry in NSW & know when seafood is fresh and these prawns where definitely bloody off, the prawn heads where completely black & the body of the prawns were water soaked & mushy but you couldn’t see that through the prepackaged bag until you opened it. Extremely bad form & practises, so very disappointed by A & J Seafood product & there’s brush off replies speaks volumes BAD FORM!

Good selection of local seafood and with knowledgeable help its ideal for a delicious meal including fish prawns and oysters. Crays are also available- and it seems you can also put in orders for your favourite item to pick up.

Best seafood in the whole Geelong area! I’ve been buying my seafood from here for years and its always fresh. They have locally caught options which is great if you want choose more sustainable seafood.

Just popped in on Saturday arvo on my way through to Barwon Heads for the first time and I can say, I was not impressed at all Not wit the prices not the presentation of it! … I won’t be ping back there for fish! … I’ll go to North Geelong Fish supplies!

Always fresh and delicious seafood! Be aware they do close early sometimes so don't leave it to the last minute.

Service was friendly fantastic it’s very popular the seafood is lovely, most of its fresh but they always tell you if it’s not totally fresh, it is a little expensive that’s the only slight downer but like everything you get what you pay for

I would give it a 5 star but the only complaint I have is that the mussels have too much water in the bag and they weigh it together with the mussels - so we are paying extra money for the water. Other than that the smoked salmon was on point and the mussels were so delicious, would definitely come by again to get more seafood

Very friendly staff. Fish selection not too bad. Wouldn’t say it was crazy fresh but wasn’t bad.
As there isn’t much variety in Torquay I would have to recommend given the limited choice
