Afghan Najimi Restaurant reviews
37 I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Afghan restaurant with my family and it was an exquisite experience from start to finish. The warm hospitality made me feel like a welcomed guest.
The menu boasts a delightful array of authentic Afghan dishes, each bursting with rich flavors and aromatic spices. From the tender kebabs to the flavorful rice dishes, every bite was a journey into Afghan culinary excellence.
The staff was incredibly attentive and eager to ensure a memorable dining experience. Their passion for sharing the culture through food is evident in every detail. I left with a satisfied palate and a newfound appreciation for Afghan cuisine.
If you're looking for a taste of delicious Afghan food, Afghan najimi is the perfect place. I'll undoubtedly be returning to explore more of their culinary delights.
Consistency is the key.and these folks have it for sure!
As always, the food is great! Second to none
Service is friendly and you don't need to even prompt the staff.
Keep up the great work
The best kebab in Dandy and we’ve been to all of them. The people leaving bad reviews don’t know wassup. The guy is so good at his job and always smiling and food is yum. You can’t miss the dessert!
Ordered a mix kebab takeaway once i got home meat was not cooked properly and no sauce at all bread was cold looks like taken out from freezer
Sher yakh was very tasty here but now the price goes up and also got less taste was not as same as before
Flies on carrots, unhealthy food and ice cream. If you wanted to get sick and have food poisoning please do visit this place. Staff have no idea how to do customer service.
I always go to Najami restaurant to eat lunch and dinner they cook very nice food zehra waiter is a very nice and hospitality girls the owner Abdullah is nice too
We ordered three meals. Sabzee palak, Qabuli Palaw and minced kebab and all of them were old, kebab was burned and sabzee palak was tasting like sugar. Later on, we were feeling like throwing up (vomiting).
Very poor service unfortunately.
We visited Melbourne and came across this fantastic restaurant. The food was superb and the authentic Afghan ice-cream (Sheer Yakh) is the best. Thank you so much Mohsin Jan
Best service with quality food
Very respectful Staff & classic Dine in room. With a relax music
: : Yummy: :
The food is delicious and the staff were so polite and helpful. Will definitely go here again
The food was very good here. Enjoyed the different types of kebab and rice meal options. Quantity-wise it was good for me.
Such good food would be an understatement! The lamb and chicken kebab skewers were LIT AF as the kids would say ;) Highly recommend
I feel rather foolish because I mistaken this place as the other Najimi restaurant. I was wanting to try Najimi restaurant and saw the name at this restaurant’s window and went in. It’s not until when I was leaving I saw all the shops/restaurants next to it and realised the one I wanted to go to is the green one, not this one.
I dont eat Afghan foods much so I am not an expert in Afghan foods or the pricing. The menu was pretty simple, we went with combination meat (chicken & lamb), and the eggplant dish. The girl at the counter couldn’t speak English very well, so plus me not familiar with Afghan foods, there might have been misunderstanding with the dish. Nowhere in the menu it mentions rice other than the biryani, which we don’t want. So I asked if they just have plain rice, and she might understand it as we want extra rice, us not knowing that the meat dish comes with rice. So I think we ended up with way too much rice. The meat was beautifully cooked and tender, but my favourite was the chicken. However I have to say the meat is rather stingy. The eggplant dish was very tasty and had loads of sauce with it. Perfect to eat with the bread. Also had banana & avocado juice, which is more like smoothie because they were very thick. Both are very nice. Also had their ice cream that stacks up, that was beautiful and light. Overall happy with the foods, although more meat will be nice.
Tonight you were the only restaurant whose kebab and rice were unparalleled in all of Dandanang.
Worst customer service. Lady waitress had no sense how to deal with customers who come to give them business. Worst Biryani, actually it was not Biryani but something else, told to take it back and swap it with another different dish, she refused straight away and left. DO NOT GO THERE, you will be disappointed. Worst experience for an afghani restaurant. We actually went for Najimi restaurant which is 3 shops away from this. They put similar name (Afghan Najimi Restaurant) to make people fool. Worst ever experience. I would give no star if there was an option.
One of the best lamb (shoulder) kebab I have ever had, very soft and juicy. Lamb shank was ok. I did not like their Qaboli polo though.
Fresh juices are also recommended. We had avocado and special juice, both were great.
Service was excellent. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Served us rotten meat. It had a disgusting smell. When I asked to change the meat, they tolde that it was made fresh. What a joke. And not a very good customer service. I am not going to that restaurant again. Wouldn't recommend anyone.
This is another Aghani restaurant we tried recently along Thomas St, in central part of Dandenong town, known for ethnic food from Afghanistan. Its interior is decorated by posters showing Aghani landscape. We ordered a few known dishes and ended with delicious sheer yakh, the local handmade desert which is ice-cream like and the highlight of our meal. For us, points lost for the dry cold accompanying bread which are typically made fresh in other Afghani restaurants and also the unimpressive side salad.
Food is tasty but, they don’t make their own roti, bit pricey than the usual Afghan restaurant I normally go. It’ll be reasonable if the price and the quantity is competitive to other restaurant that serves the same menu.
Tried the ice cream but it’s not that creamy, bit watery.
Ambiance we alright.
Staffs were nice.
The worst Afghan restaurant in the hood. Everything was below zero, the quality of the food (packaged frozen chapli kebab, stale bread, smelly rotten meat and rotten food) service (understaffed, rude and non accommodating). Everything about this restaurant is underwhelming. Never come here if you're looking to enjoy your evening.
