Aesop Prahran

You know what to expect with Aesop - brown bottles, quality products. But I can’t help but feel they’re jumping the shark with their pricing these days. I understand they’re using quality botanicals, but (as an example) charging $220 for a fragrance (even if it’s an Eau de Parfum) in 50ml size is well beyond the scope of this brand. Heck, that’s (on a per ml basis) higher than the likes of Acqua di Parma, and they are a well respected specialist perfumery!

Bottle of shampoo and a bottle of conditioner - over $100. I get it, it’s a premium brand, but the value proposition just isn’t there at these prices.

Don’t get me wrong, the stores are beautiful (in an austere way), the staff are friendly and their locations are great. They’re just 10 - 20% too expensive.

Aesop stores have a very warm, airy and a welcoming appeal to them. More so, they have the best sales people - they create a very engaging experince with every customer interms of product sampling and explanation. Their products are premium and worth every penny invested!

What an absolute pleasure to shop here! Friendly, knowledgeable staff with extremely high customer service standards. I ended up doing most of my Christmas shopping in this store because it was so peaceful and the service was perfectly streamlined
