Lovely venue for worm parts, staff very polite but at times hard to find. Security a bit pushy

Our daughter had her wedding here in March 2021. We, as a family couldn’t have been happier with the service, venue, food and ambience. We chose a Sunday night, so had a full bar special.

Excellent function space in a great location! We had a mini trade show and this was ideal. The food and beverage was excellent too.

We had our son’s wedding there after being cancelled at another venue due to COVID. It was fantastic and and we were well looked after by staff. Food and service was terrific!

Aerial is located at South Wharf, not the easiest place to get to. It's a conference/wedding reception etc type place with a small lounge area at the ground floor entrance and a lift or flight of stairs up to the venue itself. Great views of the city are available through the large North facing windows surrounding the dining area. Upmarket, clean, modern look with white marble and floor to ceiling curtains along the walls in the reception area and high tech modern lighting with colour changing, moving ceiling lights, and hidden strip lighting in the walls. This gives a dynamic feel to the whole venue which can presumably be changed to suit the theme of the function. When i was there, they had roving ceiling spots in blue and yellow, presumably in sympathy with the Ukrainian tragedy taking place. Service was plentiful and staff were attentive and friendly. You can't get an Uber, Taxi, Limo, Public transport etc to the front door. Bit of a walk from any of the nearest roads, maybe 150metres. Only paid parking available anywhere in the vicinity.

Great atmosphere and great view. The staff are friendly. The place is clean. If you're looking for a function room or reception, this place is a great choice.

Such an incredible location to have a wedding at! Aerial is absolutely breathtaking and we LOVE being apart of any event that takes place here. Their staff go above and beyond, and we love hearing back from couples who had the most amazing wedding day! We definitely look forward to our next time together.

Staff were lovely and very professional.
The function we attended had no chairs for the elderly and incapacitated people until later in the evening that was poorly thought out.
But we did have a lovely night.

Never ever would I recommend this venu to anyone. Food was OK but they couldn't turn on the aircon for a wedding with pregnant guests. Ended up leaving my friends wedding reception early because it was just too hot and everyone started getting headaches from being dehydrated. Asked staff 3 times to turn the AC on and all they didnt all they did was open a window. Made the night very uncomfortable. Never ever recommend this place.

My fiancé and I were due to get married at Aerial a few weeks ago, however that wasn’t able to go forward due to Covid 19 restrictions. The customer service we have received from the Food and Desire team over the last few months leading up to our wedding day was extremely unprofessional and unethical.

We first reached out 3 months before our wedding date when restrictions went into place and was continuously told that our wedding would still be taking place in June and that postponing was not an option and that if we did, additional fees would occur.
It wasn’t until 6 weeks out from our wedding date that we were given the option of postponing.

The stress and uncertainty this caused us leading up to our what is meant to be such an exciting time, was handled so poorly by Food and Desire. They showed no empathy or compassion and it was always just about the money for them.

Food and Desires treatment towards us was appalling, resulting in us cancelling our wedding with them as we did not want to support a business that does not have their customers bests interests at heart.

To anyone thinking of getting married at a Food and Desire venue (Aerial, Carousel, Half Acre and Harbour Room) I would highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Worst veggie meal. What was it? You don’t have to take your foodie snobbery on us you just don’t like meat? Potato’s were good. Embarrassing how much you charge and serve that up?

Lovely venue in the heart of Melbourne. I had the pleasure to shot a wedding being held at Aerial and everything was amazing. The decor looked fantastic, the staff was friendly and attentive and most importantly the couple was so happy enjoying their party!

I personally love South Wharf.so.great location. Beautiful venue.nice and friendly staff.delicious and well presented food (my iphone photos don’t do a justice)

The venue has quite a nice location on the South Wharf, close to the DFO. The entranceway is quite nice, as was the initial bar area at the top. They had a selection of drinks and canapes. The dining area was opened up once most of the people had arrived. The views of the city were quite nice.
The staff were all quite good but there were times where it was hard to find anyone to get some drinks, or a drink order being forgotten.
The food was alright. It wasn't amazing but it was nice. I didn't like how the mains (Beef or fish) were alternating. It was otherwise a really nice, convenient venue.

Loved all the workers who done a great job making sure everyone was served well.
Loved the food, the hall the security.

Exceeded every expectation! Food & Desire made our wedding day so wonderful at their venue Aerial.
The process from start to finish was easy, working with their event coordinators and venue managers. The organisation and service of all the staff is high quality, they were so accommodating and enthusiastic for our special day. The food was fabulous, our guests raved about the taste and freshness, plus we had a special ice cream bar that Food & Desire willingly organised for us, that our guests loved!
We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. Highly recommend Food & Desire at Aerial, their service and quality of catering is beyond wonderful.
