Adriano made my tailored coat. I had a few custom ideas for the garment, which Adriano elevated in his own unique way. The entire experience was special — Adriano listens to what you want and offers his expert advice. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a tailor-made experience in Melbourne.

Excellent in every way! See my previous review! Our first major wedding of the family! Our nephew! I wanted to look great (bc there will be pictures up for in perpetuity) as well as having a certain look.
I came to Adriano bc I knew him to be the best tailor in Melbourne. Maria was more than accommodating in terms of appointments that would assure my outfit was completed in time for the wedding the second week of March. Adriano saw me on 27/12.
We met and I told him I'd never had anything custom made for me and told him my ideas as to what I wanted in terms of fabric, style and fit. I was looking for a vest with a certain look and pattern with pants that flowed with a fitted shirt. I was nervous and I'm not one with a perfect body - so I was concerned about looking good.
Adriano told me: "we are all perfect. I'm here to make sure you look it. My job is to take all your bits and pieces and have them come together. "
I was at ease immediatel. I trusted Adriano from that moment.
We chose beautiful fabrics. Adriano knew exactly what I envisioned - and he designed & fitted everything to perfection.
Today, I went for my final fitting (pants hemmed - I could not have been happier with the custom outfit he designed!
I left with my new outfit beaming with joy and confidence.

I had a few pants alterations done here and a suit for a special occasion. The service is impeccable. Always friendly and they have the best finest material my suit fits like a glove! I will return in the near future.

For my wedding I knew I wanted something hand made but I had little experience on all of the above. Maria and Adriano were extremely hospitable and personally walked me through the process providing open and transparent advice along the way. There was never any pressure to pick a certain style or design and they made the decision an easy one.

I had 3 fittings and each time minor adjustments were made to suit my specific needs.

I mean this when I say it but unless I go back to Adriano Carbone, I don't think I will ever own another suit as good as my wedding suit.

I had come to the shop, having only a vague idea and a particular budget in mind. Due to my wide shoulders, most of the garments look strange on me, hence another concern to think about.

But my worries were in vain. Adriano and Maria are most charming people, offering a wealth of advice and 40 years of experience in bespoke tailoring. I was immediately offered a host of tangible solutions to my situation, each one better than the other. With an abundance of fabrics to choose from, Carbone, Melbourne’s convivial tailor, has got all the bases covered. After having navigated this sea of deliciously looking options, we decided on a plan, and I was set up with sumptuous gray Scabal.

What I picked up in a few weeks’ time was not just “a great suit. ” It is a symphony of style: feather-like in weight (read: weightless), the garment feels like a second skin, every inch of its finely cut cloth designed to fit flawlessly. Not a single flaw.

This certainly was a most pleasant experience. Yet writing about art in terms of “client satisfaction” feels odd, because Adriano’s suits are nothing short of masterpieces. I had a really great experience with Adriano, Maria and John over the last few months in the lead up to my wedding.

I came to Adriano to have a suit made for myself, my brother and my dad.
Adriano helped all three of us find the exact fabric we wanted and went to great effort in bringing in important 3 different and particular styles in for us. We all had specific requests which Adriano was more than happy to help us with.

After our fitting, Adriano finalised any changes to be made based on his recommendations and our preferences.

I picked up the suits last week and we couldn't be happier.

Adriano's workmanship is incredible and the garments feel like a second skin, you could barely notice they were on your body.

His product and craft are like no other and you can tell that he is passionate about his work.

I chose to purchase my wedding outfit with Adriano because I wanted to have a suit and shirt that were tailor made for my body and measurements. Adriano has over 40 years experience so this is a guarantee in itself. The suit was made from Huddersfield Cloth and was truly personalised with my choice of lapel, pockets and paisley lining with embroidery on the internal lining. The design process included two fittings as well as a final fitting all with the master himself. Adriano’s suit fit unbelievably well and he made it in less than 8 weeks. It was a true tailor service compared to ‘made to measure’ suit shops that outsource alterations overseas. It was great to know I was supporting a local family business. I received a suit as a graduation present from my parents and I can confidently say the service was fantastic. I was guided through the process of selecting the fabric and the custom alterations that would be made to suit my body and the final product speaks volumes for the attention to detail Adriano and his team puts into each piece!

If you are looking for quality suits you must go to Adriano, please don't waste your time and money anywhere else. The first thing that attracts us is that Adriano is based in Melbourne, he does all measurements himself and gives you advice on the fabric and colour. The whole process has been very smooth for us, we picked our fabric in the store, while Adriano also take all measurements that he needed. We also picked the internal linings and details on the day. My husband had his first fitting within 3 weeks from intial appointment, we are very impressed with how perfect the jacket fits his body, every measurement was precise and we only had to made minor changes to the elbow patch. Two weeks later the suit jacket was fully completed. We walked out of the store full of smiles and satisfaction.

Before we found Adriano, we placed an order with a famous Melbourne tailor, they took measurements in store and made the entire suit overseas. At initial pickup/fitting, we found that the suit was made too small, eventhough my husband lost 3kg before pick up, the jacket had excessive fabric on the shoulder where it looks quite awkward and the chino pants were uneven with its front and back. The other shop attempted to fix the suits for us however they clearly did not understand where the problems were. We were so disappointed that we spent the money on 'tailor made' suits and nothing turned out to fit. Adriano also did a very good job in fixing them for us.

All staffs are very friendly and helpful. Maria is very easy to talk to, she always gives us a heads up and arrange for an appointment. We had a great time with them, and we will definitely come back for more new pieces.

I could not be happier to feel Adriano confidence regarding his ability to make this unusual suit.

A few minutes with Maria and Adriano and all my questions were answered and doubts wiped out. I felt in good hands without any second thought. I expressed my desire to both and from this point of time a range of fabrics were presented to me and discussed my budget. I had a fantastic time having a classic three-piece black tie ensemble tailored by Mr Carbone. The results were fascinating. From the lapels the waist and the line of the trousers, the craftsmanship is delicate and embodies elegance. I certainly hope I will get the opportunity to have more garments tailored with Mr Carbone, it had been a wonderful experience.
