Acland Shoe Repairs & Garment Alteration

I’ve been a few times. First time shoes broke straight away when on my foot, glue coming over the edges. Next time got a new zip, the whole zip and paper left on wasn’t even cut. Third time went to fix a zip on my pants, went home out the pants on zip broke straight away. Went back to show them, the guy told me maybe I’m too fat for my pants and it’s definitely not his fault. His wife said she will out a new zip (which they should have done initially).
He’s rude, raised his voice, called me fat and blamed me. I ended up saying I don’t want to go in there again, so left $40 down and a broken zip. Should have learnt my lesson the first time, but thought they were nice and wanted to help out a family business. I warn you, never go to this business.

Got doc marten sandals resoled here for $70. The man who (no matter how nice you are to) is annoyed and rude gave me the shoes back with the glue coming apart on the edges. When I asked him to glue it back he did so but wasn’t happy about it. All the other edges are coming apart and glue is noticeable over the actual shoe and all edges. Go somewhere else.

An excellent repair to the unusual 'sling' part of my Italian leather slingback shoes. Look like new. Value for money.

Not only grumpy but quite aggressive.
Asked about the pricing and received an instant raised voice that didn't accept any response.
If attending this shop, be mindful not to trigger this man. His wife seems lovely though.

Worst shoe repair ever had, heel wore through in one week, clearly uses cheap products. Original Heel on my shoe I had for 1.5 years and did not wear through - when I took them back to question the Staff member was extremely rude and argumentative. Would give 0 stars if I could AVOID!

Good service and product. Topy sole protectors on the base of my Acne Studios pumps and was very pleased with the service and quality.

Good quality repairs and advice. After 2 months of occasional wear there's no sole pealing or loose edges.

Got 2 keys cut charged $15 which was very reasonable went home, tried keys both were completely wrong first and last time

Wow, what grumpy service and expensive. Cash only was the icing on the cake. Only positive was that they key worked, so I never have to go back.

Had a couple of pairs of shoes fixed up - extending the life for a few more years, for a good price. Recommended
