I had a great experience doing my Open Water PADI certification through the Academy of Scuba. Kat (the owner) is an outstanding teacher who is excellent at explaining concepts and building confidence in her students. The price was very reasonable considering the last two dives were boat dives to impressive locations.

Could not have hoped for a funner, more engaging learning experience. Kat has patience and enthusiasm for days and it makes what was already a great course, perfect.

Just finished my advanced open water course with academy of scuba. We had 3pier dives and 2incredible boat dives. Kat and her team do whatever it takes to make you feel safe and comfortable in and out of the water. They load you up with all the knowledge you'll need to continue diving. I will deffinetly return to Melbourne to get some diving done with the academy. To Kat, Madi and the rest of the team, you made my time in Melbourne extra special, i can't thank you enough️ we'll deffinetly catch up for another dive

I have revised my review based on the understanding that being new to diving it is possible that I had been unaware of the differences between Quad Air and Quad standard.

It was such a great experience! Just completed the open water dive course with Kat and Rhyce over the weekend. Unbelievable! Firstly, got tonnes of knowledge and diving tips, and skills practice. Kate and Chris were very helpful and explained everything really well. In addition to acquiring all that knowledge and practice, it was such a great experience to get underwater, to observe the marine life, to travel on a boat to 2 diving locations near Point Nepean. Would love to continue my diving journey and complete a couple of more advanced courses with Academy of Scuba.

This is the first time I am writing a review to reflect my frustration at the un-professionalism of the shop.

The shop demonstrated incompetence and was unable to allocated the gear I pre-ordered while unable to fix my drysuit (which costed me 3000 AUD) multiple times.

I contacted the shop again to obatin the proof of the purchase, but I didn't get a single responce.

I left the shop due to the reason above and and I would never purchase another gear from the shop again. There are other shops worthy of your time and I hope who ever is reading this would not experience the frunstration I faced.

Kat and the team were absolutely fantastic in helping us obtain the Open Water certification. They made the whole experience informative and fun. No doubt we'll be back to complete further certifications through AoS.

Me and my friend did a refresher course with Kat. She was so professional and friendly and so patient and knowledgeable would highly recommend Academy of Scuba to anyone who wants to learn scuba diving or anything else scuba diving related! 10/10! I completed my PADI open water diving course with Academy of Scuba. I highly recommend Academy of Scuba for anyone planning to get certified.

I was impressed with the staff throughout the entire process. Sophie helped me choose my equipment before the course. She was so knowledgable and friendly. I ended up with a snorkel/mask/boots/fins that are comfortable and work well in the water.

My course instructors were Travis and Jesse. Both of these two were great teachers, ensuring that everyone could set up the equipment correctly and could perform the skills proficiently.

Travis and Jesse created a learning environment where students could also have an awesome time! For example, Jesse pointed out two seahorses that I certainly wouldn't have noticed myself.

Notably, Travis was great with the children (12 years & 14 years) taking the course. I could see that he was patient with them and encouraged them. Although I am not a parent, he certainly seemed to be an instructor that works well with kids.

Overall, amazing experience. I learned & practiced the necessary safety steps/precautions, I gained confidence in the water, and I enjoyed my weekend. I am excited to dive again with Academy of Scuba.
