You can expect exceptional service in particular from Lighting Consultant Thomas George who is located at the Fitzroy store on Gertrude st Melbourne. Great communication, prompt replies, he really made the whole process easy.

Absolutely terrible service and highlly uncommitted to assisting clients - we needed them to consult us for our new home and they did nothing but give us the run around and wate our time, despite being a repeat customer.

Never returned calls, we wasted weeks due to them not getting back to us and had no care whatsoever.

They lack empathy and understanding. No care factor at all.

I love About Space, I usually find it hard to make these decisions however the stylish showroom and very helpful staff (Thanks Tom) made it really easy. I am very excited about my new lights!

So I get the kids sorted, drive across town to visit the Fitzroy store, find a paid park only to find the store shut with a "back in 1 hour" note in the window. At 3: 10 on a Sat afternoon.

Won't be returning with the level of professionalism and customer care.

Note to staff member: at least put the time of desertion on the note so those unhappy customers who do hang around know when you're returning

This is my first time purchasing light from about space and ordered on line, even thought the delivery is impacted by pandemic, but the overall product has decent quality. Especially the customer support ppl, they are very responsive, I emailed them regarding one of the light has some issues, they call me next day and send technician solve my issues on the following day, this kind of customer service is second to none. Highly recommended.

Three months of wait time (6 weeks longer than quoted), have been overcharged and not had the overcharge refunded.

Tomasina, lighting consultant, was an excellent source of information - assisting with light selections and placements. Her patience and work behind the scenes to create perfect lighting was very much appreciated.

Have purchased lights from for numerous renovations over the past few years. Excellent dynamic range and prices have always been reasonable for the quality we got. Staff are well informed, helpful and friendly.

Jodie has been so helpful walking us through multiple iterations of our lighting plan as we balance aesthetic, budget and personal precerence. She's been a gem in a sea of our indecision and overwhelm! Cant wait to see the lights installed in our new build

Great service, advice, and options

Just don’t do it! Shocking company to deal with. No after care sales service, once they have your money they don’t care.
I ordered a custom made light and paid over $1600 for it. The light they provided was of shonky workmanship, bowed and the specs were all wrong.
They left me over $300 out of pocket for the assembly of the light (you have to assemble the light before you can see any imperfections) and basically told me thats not their problem!
In addition, I was put through weeks of unnecessary angst to receive my refund. Whitney Beadman has a rude ‘I just work here’ attitude and the owner Mark Vasserman doesn’t give a hoot - Shop elsewhere!
Dont even deserve one star. Never will I shop here again!

I've shopped with About Space a few times and have very positive experiences each time. Recently, I had an urgent need for a new light fitting and the team were able to help me get the light I needed very quickly. The customer service is impeccable and I would definitely shop there again for all of my future lighting needs.
