Abesha Restaurant reviews
28 So basically this guy I went and visited him on Tuesday night for a late night meal. I ordered kitfo Ethiopian mince mince dish the food was disgusting
It’s old meat and it’s Flodded with Ethiopian butter the old man that running the business needs to change up some dishes
Aswell as the disrespect he gave me when I tried ordering more food and asking Afew questions about the menu.
Even tho I’m ehtiopian I don’t know all dishes he didn’t seem interested in what I was asking.
I will never come back here
But for other people interested go have a look me personally never go back I threw the food Straight in the bin. I am even thinking to do something stupid to hes shop but my inner self is stopping me
Disgusting people so not be allowed to sell food in a disgusting way I hope he changed he’s way. Not everyone is a good person or doing good life all I wanted was a nice meal for bed but this guy ruined my night
I slept with your ENnat ante
Not all food was freshly cooked on the day as some tasted a day old! Quantity of food isn't worth it, anyway it was a nice experience as this food was a different cuisine than what I would normally have. We wanted to try something cultural, but I honestly didn't like the food. Overly priced, overly rated!
Great food with excellent flavour but found the portions a bit small. Entree was extra disappointing in portions. The bread on its own was weird at first but it goes sooo well with the curries.
Always amazing. We have been both eating in and getting takeaway from here for a number of years and our family often comes to visit just to eat here. Thanks for being so good that you bring the family together with your food.
Very humble restaurant serving good food. The red wine they had on the menu was surprisingly really good! Do yourself a favour, and just get the combination platter! You'll be able to try many of the dishes and not miss out on the good dishes.
It was a quiet night at the restaurant, so the atmosphere was average but the man serving us was very pleasant!
Note: the highchair for baby isn't very clean and seems a bit flimsy too.
Amazing first experience eating authentic Ethiopian cuisine. Staff were very friendly.
Food was really delicious and full of flavour. Will be back!
Ordered food from them on door dash, they confirmed the order and the driver even showed up only for them to say they can't make the food because they're too busy. They wanted me to cancel the order and I wouldn't get a refund. Absolutely useless restaurant. You need to be more professional.
Best Ethiopian food that I have tried in Melbourne so far and now the top choice. I love Ethiopian food and everything here is so flavourful. It was suggested to us by a customer in another Ethiopian restaurant. Iam glad we tried it.
Loved everything on the injera. Price is affordable. Staff were friendly. Will definitely go back!
Order the abesha special through DoorDash and it was amazing, how you get that much food for $25 is awesome great Ethiopian.
Best Ethiopian restaurant in the area with spacious space and well decorated interior. Staff are very friendly and the plates have the real Ethiopian taste. We really loved it and surely we will visit again.
I came here at 3: 30pm and was told to come back at in 30 minutes despite the restaurant supposedly having opened at 11am as stated on the website, I decided to go and back around 4 ordered this Beautiful amazing food which was not only heavenly stunning and mouth watering definitely filled me up and I even took the rest home for later on very nice and arrived Fresh and cooked to perfection except the Lamb Tibbas were a bit chewy but overall nice and tasteful to my liking anybody looking to try out Ethiopian cuisines this is the place to go overall they probably need to change their opening hours it’s not very nice to tell a customer to come back after they just arrived according to ur hours but I was patient and the food was beautiful definitely going back again
Very delicious food and great service. I being eating out in Abesha Restaurant and I would really recommend it to anyone who want to try east African's food.
AMAZING! Delicious food, highly recommend the dry tibs mmmm! Great family run spot with such lovely staff. If I could give them ten stars I would. Affordable and enjoyable
Delicious food and wonderful dining experience owner treated us like guests in his home. We celebrated Eid here and drove 90 minutes to reach the restaurant. It was well worth it. Highly recommended.
Great authentic Ethiopian food. Good flavours and portions, and friendly staff in a cosy environment.
First experience trying Ethiopian food, unique flavours. Loved the presentation.
Very helpful manager, he recommended the food to us.
We tried the beef, lamb and chicken. Lamb was our favourite. It was soft and juicy.
Best vegan and vegetarian and late night Ethiopian in Footscray. The misir wot and the beetroot dish are absolutely delicious and their opening hours are really convenient.
Amazing great tasting food. Friendly staff. A bit lacking in variety but whatever is in the menu is great!
If you can look past the dim lighting and less than average decor, the food is the best you'll ever have. Staff are friendly but the food is the most amazing I've ever tried. This place is the new favourite go-to spot for my friend and I, we can't stop talking about it. Love the ubereats option as well. See you soon!
