I took my Longines watch in for it’s first service. They advised me they can’t really quote a service cost until they open it up (which I understand) But advised it could be $600-$800. And This quotation service is $50. My quote came in at $1390 including parts. So I regretfully paid the $50 and collected it. I took it to Longines Chadstone, and couldn’t be happier. I was charged $619 for the same service and parts replacement. And have the genuine service and warranty to go with it.

Called ahead and received on the spot watch adjustment when I arrived.
The service both on the phone and in store was great. And I got to support local business.

I have my Dad's Omega watch which was given to him by his Mum (my Grandmother, who died when I was 4 weeks old) for his 21st birthday. Dad died at 56 so his watch has a lot of sentimental value. This watch is now 95 years old. I got the watch wet and the mechanism rust to the point it no longer worked. Collins Jewellers in Hobart did some research and found A Watch In Time as they are authorised Omega repairers. Collins Jewellers sent Dad's watch to them for a quote. The quote was a little over $2400.00. I accepted this. They stated it would take about 12 months as it was during Covid lock down in Melbourne. I also accepted this. When it was returned and I wore it for the first time, when I tried to wind it the winder came out. I took it to Collins Jewellers and Daryl, who is a watch maker clicked it back in. He did no other work to the watch. The second time I wore it the same thing happened. I asked Collins Jewellers to send it back to A Watch In Time who refused to repair under warranty and wanted payment to fix their repairs. I have gone elsewhere to get it repaired. DO NOT go to this company as they don't stand behind their work. This is no reflection on Collins Jewellers who couldn't be more helpful. Peter Johnson

I am so impressed with the work & help provided by their team. Our 1838 pocket watch was in poor shape - broken glass, missing hands, broken mechanism. In short - absolutely not working & no prospect of doing so - These guys cleaned, replaced missing parts & fixed broken bits inside - Result: A really fantastic piece that my parents are very happy with. These guys know what they are doing & get my vote - In fact I am going to send them my Grandfather's gold watch for a service, a mechanical stop watch for repair, & my parent's mantle clock for service & repair. My thoughts = Never let quality & service pass you by.

I had my 30year old watch fixed here. They did a detailed quote which we discussed with them. I decided to go ahead with the repairs and their work is absolutely top notch. I'm very happy with my watch the it looks like new again.

Highly recommend for jewelry repairs! Kevin and the team did a lot of work on my antique cut engagement ring & wedding band recently. The workmanship was far superior to what I’d previously had done by expensive jewelers in the city & was fantastic value for money. Would definitely recommend.

I took a family heirloom Junghans mantel clock for repair, and a full service was completed. The clock sounds better than ever and keeps perfect time. Around six months after the 12-month repair and service warranty, the clock stopped, and Kevin was kind enough to accept the investigation and repair job during COVID lock downs. He identified that the main spring had failed and ordered a new part and replaced it at a very reasonable parts price. I have found communication with the proprietors of this business easy and efficient both by email and telephone. Very grateful and would recommend A Watch In Time to family and friends.

I had my Tag Heur Twin Time Carrera repaired by Kevin at a Watch in Time. Excellent, friendly and professional service at a realistic cost. Repairs are guaranteed for a year. This business is thoroughly recommended.

Until very recently I was extremely happy with them, lovely friendly and very competant people. I recently took 2 watches in for new batteries, batteries they installed a few years ago. I was also intending to have my 1880s solid gold Hunter watch serviced. On presenting my 2 watches, neither one is flash or experience but I like them, l was informed that they didn't install batteries in to those watches. I admit I was stunned, all I wanted was new batteries nothing else. I felt shunned. Needless to say l went to Mr Minute who happily installed new batteries. And started a search for someone to service my Hunter watch. Lost me

They can be busy but that is because they are good at what they do.

Excellent service to quickly replace a battery in my Tag Heuer watch. After purchasing it from the Tag store in the CBD, I was used to dropping it in there for battery replacements only for them to charge at least $120 every time and for it to take at least 2 weeks because they send it to Sydney and back. It was a major hassle to do this every year (the small watch battery doesn’t last all that long), so was desperate to find a local reliable horologist. Was pleased to see they sold and repaired other Swiss brands and couldn’t believe the wait time of only 20 mins. Same day! Will definitely be returning. Thank you very much … I had missed wearing this watch. It’s a favourite.
