400 Gradi - Eastland

Really disappointed in the service that is continuously provided by Gradi Eastland. Management is so rude and don’t care about if you have any issues, they just roll their eyes and walk away. The food is over cooked, luke warm and bland. The only good thing about this place is one of the waitresses Lexie, she seems to be the only person who cares and wants to problem solve. She should be the manager or owner of this place she’s honestly amazing!

Food and service was absolutely disgusting. Would not be returning here again, this is our third time here and each time it manages to get worse. Mangers are so rude and could care less about their customers.
However Lexie one of the waiters was amazing and has such a kind soul. They should be very thankful to have her as she is the only one who seems to care.

Absolutely disappointed with the quality of food and the lack of customer service in this place. The only highlight was the waitress Lexi who was an absolute gem and actually listened to our concerns and tried to resolve where possible.

Firstly I ordered a soft drink, which was forgotten, but Lexi apologised and replaced.

We then ordered 2x foccasia Vulcano, but apparently only 1 was put through so we waited another 15mins for the second one to come which by then we finished entrees.
Also I don’t understand how you have burrata…. But no salad…just deep fried bread and oil? Where are the tomatoes? !

I ordered the steak which definitely not fresh. The meat was an off pale/yellow colour that appeared to be reheated. I asked for medium rare and the meat was chewy and stringy and lukewarm to touch. I ate one slice of meat and could not stomach anymore.
When I notified Lexi she apologised and asked me to select a complimentary replacement which I kindly declined.
The owner was informed and came over asking “what is the problem? ” And when I told him he took the plate away without saying anything else.

This is the third time I’ve been here and so far every experience has been worse off than the last.
I can’t justify the cost of this restaurant for the quality of food and service that you
Will receive.
Lastly FYI - they do NOT have gluten free pizza options.

Zucchini and prawn risotto! This is very delicious. The scent of lemon and the shaved rind make it irresistible

We had a group of 6.2 made comments that the music was too loud.
The entrees were really good, we had three different ones.
I had a pizza for mains, and I was disappointed. The outside crust was firm and very tasty. However, as you got closer to the middle, it was very soggy.
The service was very good.

My missus and I had a date night here, not good atmosphere for us, food from food truck is better, pasta barely had any ingredients as stipulated on menu. Very unappealing, would not go back here for date night. For the price not worth it. Can have better pizza from costco or woolies. Do not recommend.

Wife and I ate at 400 Gradi last night as a spur of the moment thing. Busy but good busy. Had the stuffed zucchini flowers to start which were nice then shared the seafood pasta and veal.
The veal was nice, although a little dry. Could have done with a simple sauce on the side such as mushroom or pepper corn. Also the seafood pasta, which was excellent, could have done with a couple of slices of garlic bread to mop up the lovely juice at the bottom of the bowl. These couple fo little details would have rounded out the meal well.

I have been to 400 Gradi before - but went again more recently.
Want to point out that outside dining - is still undercover - and therefore wonderful on a warmish day as no direct heat from the sun.
The food is extremely delicious and affordable (in the higher range).
Tiramisu exceptional - recommend
Service and staff are extremely polite and attentive - but not too much.

Worse food ever, even if you didn’t like the dish they don’t care and make you pay for it, very poor customer service, really worse restaurant ever, don’t recommend

Pizza was flat and transparent, paid $25 for the volcano pizza and it was like a crepe and had little to none on it was very disappointing and unappetising

A little disappointing for the price.
My partner & I had dinner on Saturday night, we were seated without menus and they seemed slightly understaffed.
We eventually ordered our drinks and food approx 25mins into being seated. Waiter was lovely, very friendly and attentive when she could be, managing multiple tables at one time.
Unfortunately our entrees arrived before our drink order, the kilpatrick oysters ($39 1/2 dozen) & prawns ($34 for two prawns) were nice however arrived cold to the table.
We also ordered a pizza which was nice & some arancini which were hot however a bit lack lustre, the rice was still crunchie and sauce was a bit stodgy.
The service picked up toward the end of our meal and drinks arrived much more quickly - We could see more team had arrived and started serving.
Overall for the price I think the standards could be higher, especially if you are trying to elevate above the rest in a shopping centre environment.

Pizza is horrid and it's very expensive. Service was friendly at the entrance but rude inside.

The ice cream is very nice. But I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the pizza. It was almost like eating a very tough pita bread. I was expecting the dough to be amazing for the price.

Dinner seating outside was lovely. Drinks and Food were served quickly.
Zucchini flowers served piping hot unfortunately the batter was quite thick and these were lacking seasoning. We ordered a herb and cheese pizza but got a garlic and cheese, we just accepted it but regretted it because there was a LOT of garlic.
Entree Calamari was cooked beautifully but way too much sauce on the dish that over powered the flavour. My partner was struggling to find the pasta sheets in his lasagna, he said it was ok but very “saucy and wet”
My seafood linguine was really good, seafood cooked perfectly. Mixed experience here but I enjoyed the linguine.

Service was extremely slow, and despite repeated requests for a high chair we were still not given one after half an hour, food didn’t come out for an hour. Our water wasn’t refilled for the entire meal! To top it off, the crab meat in our pasta was completely off and the dish was inedible after an hour’s wait! This is by far the worst dining experience since the lockdowns have ended, the staff looked drained and uninterested. I would give it zero stars if I could, we’re definitely not coming back again!

Considering that I had an extremely bad experience with the Mornington Gradi and had zero response with my experience the Eastland Gradi is a complete contrast in a very positive manner especially realising that it was a Gradi chain and we were just about to walk out, glad I didn’t thumbs up all staff involved who served us also the food was great

Oysters, King Prawns, Bufalina Pizza were really good. Tagliata di Manzo (Scotch Fillet) ordered medium rare was tough, far too much gristle and lacked flavour. French fries average (overcooked). Service pretty good and atmosphere friendly.

Have been coming here a bit lately as there are more out door seating options then crown. Can get some good pizzas and pastas at a fair price.

Cons: last time pizza base was hard and not Napoli style and waiters outside just chatting together.

Have been there several times and the food has always been to a high quality and staff have been very pleasant and helpful.

Tonight I spent my 2 year anniversary at 400 Gradi for dinner. I ordered the Margherita Verace (world best pizza award) - (2014) and my lovely partner got the Risotto Ai Funghi.

The risotto was fantastic and very tasty. But quite a small portion considering the price. $35

Unfortunately for me the pizza was very Raw and the cutlery I was given couldn't cut through the raw dough.
Staff were notified and they let the Chef know, so that's great for feedback. They also took the pizza off the bill once the staff member had seen how raw it was. But I was also told from an older Gentleman (server) that the pizza should be raw and chewy because in Italy that's how it is. So being told im wrong didn't make me feel very nice, Especially in front of my Partner.

Unfortunately for me I talked about how great Gradi was the first time I had visited the restaurant, so I was very embarrassed when it wasn't even close to my first experience. And that I was told im wrong and it's not his fault.

Will I come back. No, but I will still recommend in hope my friends experience the top class food I had the first time I discovered this resteraunt. And I hope they have a better experience then we did.

Sorry to give a bad review but it's honest and dissapointing.
