400 Gradi - Essendon

While the service was good, Unfortunately none of us were satisfied with our meals for the price. I will only speak on behalf of myself, I paid $33 for mushroom risotto and I got mildly stock flavoured rice with a few specks of mushroom. Would not recommend.

I had my daughters 21st birthday party on Saturday 8th June at 400 Gradi in Essendon. Armando the restaurant manager was amazing. We told him exactly what we wanted and he accommodated for us perfectly. We all felt so welcomed by all the staff, as they were very polite, friendly and really set a good vibe. The food was absolutely beautiful, would definitely be going back there again. They could even accommodate for my daughter who is a coeliac and requires gluten free meals.

Wasn’t very impressed with the menu the staff wasn’t very attentive had to get up three times to get someone to come over I asked for some salt and was given an empty one. Won’t be returning

The prices are very high and for that I've had better woodfired pizzas at other restaurants. Service is good food is not bad but considering the price I won't be visiting again.

We went to Gradi's on Saturday night with a group of ten, the staff and management were so nice and friendly. Service was really good our food was so nice especially our entrees they were so tasty and beautifully presentation. Our table was so nice, nice big round tables it was so comfortable.

This place was hyped up for me as the BEST pizzaria. Now, i didnt think it was all that (taste), however the restaurant itself is STUNNING, it has a very sophisticated feel to it but also quite cozy. The staff are very polite and the doorman was very inviting, professional and had a bubbly Italian authenticity. Food was ready in a decent time but it was not as impressive as it was hyped up to be. Suggest coming with a large group to enjoy all range of flavoured pizzas!

Not the BEST bolognese we had ever had. Pretty hard to get a drink - and had to sit at the bar when we could see tables free? Manager that was on that night, no offence, but was a bit painful to talk to

If you don't mond paying through your teeth to have a drink and you don't mind paying at the upper range for your food then this is the place for an upmarket person like you, otherwise as a regular person, this will disappoint.

6 of us enjoyed a birthday celebration here tonight. Staff looked after us well. My wife believes this is the best Italian meal she experienced. Shout out to Costa for ensuring the night was memorable.

Excellent service really friendly staff amazing food and was so quick want to thank the waiter Natalia individually as she was very welcoming and provided excellent customer service. Management food 5 starr highly recommend. Armando is the man to see at the front

The service was terrible. Part of our meal was forgotten and we asked 3 staff members over the course of 30 min. With no response. One of the people we spoke to couldn't speak English which didn't help. The meals are also super expensive. It's a shame because we love their restaurant in docklands.

Natalia the waitress was awesome! Very polite, gave great recommendations and all round excellent customer service! She deserves some real recognition for her hard work!:)

Also the Valentine’s Day dessert was very yummy!

The Venue Manager, Armando was fantastic from day one. Extremely accomadating to all my needs prior and on the day of the event.
I hired out the entire restaurant for my sons 1st Birthday/Christening. The chefs, bar and wait staff were so smooth and fast you wouldn't even know they were feeding 120 guests. All my guests left very happy and full, exactly what you want when you host a party. Thank you Essendon Gradi for a wonderful day!

The best pizza in Melbourne, it's that simple. Food always comes out pretty fast and the staff are as efficient and you can get, without being pushy. There is a reason why their bhakois growing. Only downside has to be the limited parking options on Keilor Rd, but not much the restaurant can do about it.

Worth the trip down to Melbourne. We ate at the Essendon/Niddrie Restaurant. Service was good. Staff were friendly and attentive. Pizza was cooked in traditional way. My other half had a traditional margarita pizza and I had a go at the world record cheese pizza. All in all a lovely experience and would dine there again. Keen to try the other 400 Gradi locations in the future!

Great food! Though there was one salad with some unusual ingredient that I wasn’t keen on - the fennel! Everything else was amazing,

This is the third time we have eaten at 400 Gradi Essendon and we are always impressed with our pizza and service. Just love it. We come from Werribee (35 mins) and are very fussy about real Italian flavour. We have been to Italy, this is the real pizza.
