24Simon is great! He makes you feel extra motivated, & he makes sure everyone feels safe & taken care of. Good instructions, & good workout. It's a shame this gym's closing, but when I'm back I hope to join one of their other UBX gyms.
I have been a member at UBX South Melbourne since February 2020. I find the workouts challenging and beneficial to improving my overall fitness. Each workout is different from the previous day. The trainers are professional and always happy to provide advice on exercise technique. If you are looking for a workout outside of a traditional gym that can be complete on your time I would highly recommend UBX.
12Rnds/UBX has been great for my partner and I. The trainers are all very supportive and lovely to work with, especially Simon, who will go out of his way to work with you even on a busy day.
Down from Canberra this past weekend and needed some exercise! I am a member at a 12RND in Belconnen, and the team at South Melbourne were kind enough to let me drop in for a cameo workout! Lots of room, very Covid safe, and plenty of one on one with the pads and assisting with any exercises you might not know! If you want a fun and engaging way to work out, pop in for a trial, you will not be disappointed!
It's been about 18 months since I started at 12RND South Melbourne. It's a great high-intensity workout & every session is different. All the trainers are great & really helpful - my boxing skills are really improving! I can recommend to anyone looking for a friendly gym & wanting a new challenge.

Update:
Been going for 18 months now and still love it. The trainers have a strong boxing background and teach proper technique and are always mixing up the pad work drills. My wife and I go together 3 mornings a week and have never had the same workout. Love the variety.
4 weeks in and I couldn't be happier or more motivated! Never did I think I would happily get out if bed before 5.30am - you are always greeted by one of the amazing trainers, encouraged by others and leave with the bestest smile after a full body HIIT style workout!
Its been great working out at 12RND South Melbourne! Kerry and the team are always welcoming and encouraging. In the past I have struggled to find a gym that I have enjoyed going to but the workouts are always fun and varied! I look forward to a 5: 30am workouts! Definitely recommend!
Great gym. Excellent trainers. Circuit changes regularly and keeps things interesting. Clean facilities including showers and chnagerooms.

I joined 12RND a month ago after always wanting to try out some form of box fit (and being too shy to in the past!). After doing a free session I was hooked! The workouts are great and always varied though what really makes it fantastic is the trainers. They constanty motivate you mid-workout, explain the exercise sequences, and make you feel really comfortable being there. Would highly recommend this team at 12RND Sth Melbourne:)
So, I’ve just finished my first month of training at 12RND South Melbourne.
I’ll be honest, I never had any intention of joining this gym. It intimidated me. Why?
I hated the idea that like other similar gyms, I’d have to pair up with people I don’t know so we could do each station simultaneously. (which you don’t)
I was self conscious about being judged by other gym users for being so unfit I couldn’t do the exercises. (Which they didn’t)
And I was lazy. In my head it was more practical for me to pay my $15 to a boring 24hr gym that I use once every few weeks. (It’s not)
In my first 4 weeks I’ve been 13 times. THIRTEEN TIMES. That’s more visits than I managed in 12 months at my last gym (probs not even joking).
The fact that there’s no class times, means it integrates into my life seamlessly. It eliminates excuses. If I wake up 5-10 minutes late I don’t have the excuse “oh well I’m late now”. I just get in when I can and smash out the 12 rounds. Perfecto.
The trainers are unreal. I’ve dealt mostly with Kerry and Kass and from day one they knew my name and it was super personal. They’re the best. Help me out when I need it, push me when I’m struggling (or being lazy) and hi 5 when it’s done.
Emailing Jimmy (the owner) and organising a trial is the best thing I’ve ever done.at least when it comes to fitness!

Awesome atmosphere and trainers. Most motivated I have been in a while to exercise. Clean and tidy space will workouts that change daily and exciting equipment. Keeps you on your toes with different challanges.
Top class facilities with top class coaches. Come and go when you please with no set times for circuits.
