Zambrero Launceston

Slowest service ever, food is horrible with coriander through everything. But if you like eating cardboard go for it. Staff seem to not care about their slow service for microwaved food.

$13.90 for a bowl of white rice and lettuce and very little else is clearly not worth it at all. Rip off at this store. Have had FAR better at others. Then the girl didn’t put the lid on properly and half the food landed on the floor. The staff did not care less. No offer to assist from staff. The toppings that give a little extra flavour were now on the floor. This was not cleaned up the whole time we were there. Will definitely not be returning here anytime soon!

All good nothing bad to say about them, they did nearly give me a free meal as they forgot to ask me to pay but lucky for them i'm honest

As a big fan of Zambrero for a number of years I always look forward to eating there. Hugely disappointed today. Order wrong, poor service.

I come here often. I get a plain quesidilla (don't know if I'm spelling that right lol) and my two recent experiences have been terrible. The first time, I ordered in store. I got the stack and it was very unusually sticky and all the chicken and cheese were in the middle. This meant that I couldn't get to the actual flavour until I ate the 1-2 cm rim with NOTHING INSIDE. The second time I got a quesidilla through the drive through. And they covered the middle and bottom parts with SO MUCH CHEESE. The bottom stuck to the container and I couldn't get it off. This place has gone completely downhill.

Waited 10 minutes in drive thru tonight before someone answered - so long that cars at the end started reversing out and leaving.

I constantly have issues with this particular store, have contacted management multiple times with no response.

Asked and confirmed no onion or corn salsa, arrive home and there’s onion and corn salsa. Paid for and confirmed a side of guacamole and sour cream, arrive home and there’s no guacamole or sour cream.

Price rise up to $12.40 for quesadillas but virtually nothing inside?

Waited nearly 25 minutes all up, for an order I didn’t ask for with things I did ask and pay for missing.

You need to go in to get what you want which defeats the whole purpose of drive thru.

So I went through the drive through at Zambrero York St. The girl I spoke to to order sounded distracted and I could hear people laughing in the background so as I would say something there would be a huge gap before she would respond.
Then I waited about ten minutes for the guy in from tof me to get his order, which looked to be only a small bowl. Then I waited a further 10-15 minutes for my food which was only a small burrito.

The store did not look busy.

Now the food, the meat and corn salsa where great as usual 10/10. BUT the rice was almost completely raw in parts, it felt like it had maybe been soaked in water, not cooked, it didn't even look particially cooked.
I thought they had forgotten the sourcream because I didn't taste any until the bottom maybe 3-4 centimetres of the burrito. And there was ALOT of the white bitter parts of the lettuce and not much actual leaf.
It was put together so poorly it spilled a little when I opened it and the foil covering was so poorly done also that when it was handed to me it started unwrapping.

The girl who served me at the window didn't even look at me, say hello, nothing, she spoke to the floor when she said how much it was and I barely heard her.

Is the entire building filled with trainees? Because this would be the only even slightly acceptable reason.

I've been through this drive through before, the first time was perfect no problems. The second time I asked for ONLY corn salsa and no jalapenos but got the lot anyway. This time I stupidly thought I'd give it another go and just let me say, I will never use it again cause my lunch today was GROSS

I ordered power bowl through uber eats which costs $27 and got just rice and lettuce, chicken and other sauces were hardly to see. And the quantity was less too. This happened second time, even i did order in person few weeks ago, it was the same thing.
Really unsatisfactory meal and service.

I had a burrito a while ago and it was good. However second visit here was terrible. Customer service was very unprofessional. Wild rice and quinoa was not cooked enough and felt like I was eating tiny rocks. We got charged extra for guacamole even though it said clearly that the Vegetarian option include guacamole.

Who the hell is running this place man. Apalling service. Serving raw rice, and ridiculous wrapping of burrito. You cant get that many things wrong unless you are intentionally doing it. Time to appoint a manager guys. I am not returning.

I would give zero rating to these stores staff. If you want your food stuffed up and get wrong food n uncooked rice go there. If you want to waste your money then go there. Despite repeating my order few times they made my burrito wrong both the time, I paid extra money to get more items added but instead I barely got anything. So then I went inside to order so that I could see what they are adding but there was no food items or ingredients at all in their shelves it was all taken away.

DONT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER, THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND YOUNG KIDS WORKING THERE DO NOT CARE, THEY JUST KNOW TO DUMP ANYTHING AND ROLL IT.

The service was apalling. Just read other negative reviews and you will know. Run by 16 year old kids who seem to enjoy messing up orders. I ordered a IQ and I was served with uncooked black rice. Not undercooked just not cooked at all, really crunchy. The place is supposed to close at 8.30 but when I went back around 8.15, they had already packed up. And the guy sniggered and said come back tomorrow and speak to manager as they pack up 15 mins before closing. If you are reading this, STOP, do yourself a favour and go to the Zambrero on Brisbane St instead. Trust me you will thank me.

First time being here. Walked in and asked if I could place an order and received just a blank stare and no communication. Not sure if you can order in here or you have to do it online or by phone first? The girl at the counter, after saying hi, just stared blankly at me and didn't respond.
I'm sure the food is great, unfortunately didn't get a chance to find out as I was made to feel I had done something wrong by asking to order.

Been here more than a few times now. I don’t recall an incorrect order and only occasionally have a felt ever so slightly the meal was smaller than past visits or others stores. Overall they’ve been doing a great job.
Definitely one of the fastest takeaways in Launceston and possibly the fastest Zambreros in the country. One of the few drive through ones, I’m yet to see another.

Went there today for the first time the nachos were wonderful and the staff were fantastic. One small thing though the stools weren't for me I had to stand up and leave to have my drink as I couldn't take the stools much longer perhaps some regular chairs would be good. Although the couch looked comfortable I wasn't sure if I could eat sitting on the couch or if it was there for you to sit while you wait.

Food was fine but the girl taking drive through orders needs customer service training. Could have had a MUCH better meal if options were explained.

Can be very difficult with a one way street to find it, then not well signed entrance to drive thru. However once we finally got in, food was speedy, good service, delicious burrito.

Got here 30mins before close but whoever is working decided to close up shop early. Perhaps update your hours if your workers don’t want to work till 9pm?

Stale food, flies roaming around, horrible service. We ordered and then left, because it was so gross. The waiter was very dumb too.

Very confusing experience.
So I walked in on a normal Tuesday evening (7.30pm) and saw a staff inside of the counter. During the time I checked in with my app (checkin TAS), he didn't say hi or hello but just disppeared back to the kitchen.

I noticed there is no food shown in the counter which is weird as they close at 8: 30pm. I asked twice that "is there anyone here? " and "are you guys closing? " but no response from the kitchen, all I can hear is the washing/cooking? Noise.

So I went to the other store in the brisbane st, good food in general, bad service and experience in this store.
