Really comfortable and clean accommodation with lovely gardens, in a very picturesque location! Highly recommended.

Layed back, beautiful views. Awesome to throw a fishing line in and watch the boats unload. Great walking track around the waterfront, loved the fire pit! Super comfy and plenty of room.
Close to the bottle shop and cafes.

The PRETTIEST place to stay? There’s EVERYTHING you need and MORE! Charming with so much simply delightful detail, you hardly get a chance to take it all in? Sitting in the garden out the back in front of the fire pit (evenings are wonderful!) or out the front or laying on the sun beds there’s always somewhere you haven’t enjoyed ️️️

Gorgeous, homely, clean cottage with amazing beds and cosy sheets. Fire pit is beautiful to sit around during the day or evening no matter the weather, with water views. A stones throw to restaurants, pubs, cafes, local shops and supermarket. A few days stay felt like had been there a week, totally recharged the body and soul. The perfect stay?

What a fantastic location. Close to restaurants and right on the water. The cottage is historic yet warm and cosy with the wood heater. We also used the heat pump.
The rooms are comfortable and warm.
The fire pit creates an amazing atmosphere for a post ride refreshment. You lose yourself with the river views and just relax. Then go for a walk along the river to unwind.
We also got great fresh seafood from just around the corner at George Town seafood. The oysters are to die for with some take away chips and a bottle of Fizz. A cracking spot.

Great place to stay, lovely cosy home. Close to shops, restaurants and the pub. Awesome relaxing with friends around the fire pit. Definitely a very welcoming comfortable place to stay.

We had a great stay, perfect location, very central.
The cottage is surprisingly roomy but still embracing.
Super comfy beds, wood heater as well as reverse cycle heat pump making it very warm.
We seriously just relaxed and enjoyed the location
The fire pot was awesome and the view spectacular, fired up the bbq and just kicked back.

One of the nicest locations with water frontage. And the house is beautiful. Close to everything we needed. Cafe, pub, supermarket and fishing all within a short walk. I would highly recommend it.

What a magnificent cottage, with wonderful attention to detail and lovely personal touches throughout the house, which makes the interior so unique and interesting.

The house is functional and comfortable with soft leather lounges for relaxing times in front of a cosy fire and tv.

My 3 year old girl immediately felt at home. There's an adjoining bedroom (with internal door) which was perfect for us as she had her own single bed but knew we were close by if needed.

The beds are super comfortable and warm with electric blankets and fluffy quilts. We loved the back deck and the garden.my daughter was very entertained looking at the flowers and the garden but was safe (as it is fully fenced) she especially enjoyed looking over the fence at the yachts, birds and the swing by the water.

There is also a fabulous new large childrens playground in the Main Street and lots of great walks along the river front. And Woolworths is just a three minute walk away.

A totally great place for a wonderful family holidays and I highly recommend it, we will be back for sure.

Magical home away from home. Full of curiosities, quality beds and linen and exquisitely renovated. We loved the proximity to the Main Street restaurants, bakery, woolies and op shops and will be back soon.

We just love York Cove Cottage. We stayed for five days and felt totally at home. There's four spacious well appointed bedrooms with beautiful comfortable beds and high quality linen. The whole home is superbly renovated and has every amenity including a fabulous huge deck overlooking the Tamar River and a fire pit for Cosy evening get togethers There's so much to see and do in this magnificent area of Tasmania and York Cove Cottage is located close to so many historic and interesting attractions. You can just sit on the deck and watch the little yachts on the Tamar River and see the world go by. It's a stunning house in a magnificent location. Highly recommend

Loved it! Stayed only 3 nights with friends … Wish we had longer to stay. The house is fabulous- so interesting and stylish and comfy at the same time. Full of surprises. The deck is such a great spot to sit and enjoy the water, boats, and bird life. One night we had a fire in the pit with a BBQ. Good living. We drove around the area and saw much including the Batman bridge. Cute fairy penguins tour! We settled in so quickly and were very reluctant to leave. Highly recommend York cove cottage 1870 for a fabulous time away.
