Wynyard Newsagency reviews
7Went in to do lotto on Saturday. Blond hair lady ignored me, served 3 other customers that came after me and I was ignored. Went to Somerset instead and had a wonderful experience. Very disappointing.
Told a staff member a joke and she laughed quite a lot, due to us being friends for almost 20 years. Though it was a good joke
Great variety of reading material, also has good range of gifts and stationery items. There is something for everyone. The staff are friendly and very helpful best of all they always have a smile to brighten up the day.well done to all
The staff and owners were terrific. Friendly, knew their business. Very competent. Would go there again and again.
I was treated very rudely by a COVID denier shop assistant, when I expressed concern about using cash for a purchase on September 21. (A markup of 62.5% for using my card there was going to be required. The ACCC mention 1 to 3% as a typical merchant fee for credit cards.). In front of four other customers I was informed that my concerns about the use of cash as opposed to card were 'bulls***t'. Reluctantly, I completed my purchase using cash and then informed the shop assistant that our family would no longer shop there. Whereupon, in front of four other customers, I was bid quite loudly a, 'good riddance' farewell.
After 24 years of living in Wynyard and supporting this business (to the tune of approx $400 p.a.), my family no longer will support a business that refuses to support COVID safe practices and one seems now to condone the use of abusive language towards customers.
They take the time to give personal service! Great range of products.competitive prices.
I grab my lucky lotto here also have a great range of stationery magazines greeting cards and gift wrap
