Woolworths Hobart City (Campbell St) reviews
40Parking is a bit tight. It is not a large store, so doesn't have an extensive range. I have always found their vegetables good, and they have good specials and mark downs. Check out service is usually quick.
We Find this Woolworths one of the most convenient Supermarkets in Hobart.
Very close to most of the Accomodations that we use and also close to a few of the Restaurants and Food places we also visit.
Disgusting.
Half a cooked chicken for $5.00
A Quarter cooked chicken for $5.00
That is so wrong and I spoke with manager about it and only got hollow empathy and patronising insults. Was also referred to by a worker as dearie multiple times after I asked her not too. A worker half my age. Seriously insulting but not half as bad as the chicken prices.
Worst is no one seems to care that this is wrong.
I had a great (not) start to my shopping experience today, other than cutting open my finger whilst attempting to extricate some of the veggie bags. I had to ask for bandaids. Then I couldn't find a product that was supposed to be in stock. 2 lovely employee ladies helped me with that. The final crowning jewel of the experience came at the non-self service check out. I was asked for bags and when I gave them to the employee she wouldn't touch them. Why? They were not dirty. So I packed the bags myself while feeling very embarrassed and humiliated. Not a nice experience!
That was 6 days ago.
Today, the same thing happened with the same check-out Woolies employee! What is going on?
Standard woolworths that interstate travellers will be familiar with.
Brown paper bags instead of the new plastic style.
Plenty of parking.
Beautiful central location woollies, with limited parking on-site. Not the greatest store, but packaged with all the basics and then some. It is only a relatively small store, therefore had less variety than the department stores. There seems to be a good price.
Super-convenient supermarket. A few blocks from the Hobart CBD, free parking, adequate range and supply. For a small store, it had a good selection of fresh fruit.
Older store, limited parking. Friendly staff, clean store, well equipped. Good for small shops.
Very small location, hard to get through aisles while staff are loading shelves and found that it just didn't carry the same products that other Woolworth locations have.
Not a bad place to shop, just not where I would do the weekly shop.
Majority of the older staff are unnecessarily rude, zero customer service skills. The shop itself is fine but the experiences I have with the workers make me refuse to go back. It's really not that hard to be kind to a customer for just a few minutes, guys.
Our first shop in a Tasmanian Woolworths. Thanks for the free fruit for kids. Keep up the good work
Nice centrally located woolies, with ample parking on site. Not the largest store, but packed with all the essentials and then some.
Was pranked by staff members that the rice were similar to rice crispies. Took 2 hours to walk down each isle. Far to long to traverse in slippers. Came in for bread, the bread was hidden from me. Still haven't found it. Left feeling extremely deceived.
It is only a fairly small store, so had less variety than large stores. Seems to have good prices.
Second woolies with no bags to take groceries out to car with. Pick ya act up guys. U got enough money to buy ya 20c bags.
Since I’ve arrived in Australia I go to woolies because of the good discounts and variety. Today in this specific store, I was very badly treated by a old woman in the meat section. (I don’t know if that was because of the fact that I’m an immigrant) First she jumped my turn saying that my order was too difficult to understand (I ordered 8 chicken breasts in different bags, so that I could freeze them) second she gets very grumpy and refuses to do what I ask for saying they normally don’t do that there (well, I get this every week in the exact same place).
I know nobody really expects any first class service in woolies anyways, but grumpy people shouldn’t even get a job.
Hope you guys address this issue.
Had a few rude and weird workers all women.besides that not that bad if a place but is very small and lacks other ingredients.
Super-convenient supermarket. A few blocks from the Hobart CBD, free parking, adequate range and supply. It is a smaller store.
The most consistently average selection of “fresh” vegetables you’ll find in the state. Well done THE FRESH FOOD PEOPLE
Not a bad Lil shop. If yu stocked my jarrah coffee, I'd come back but yu took the Brazilian away. Bring it back, and I'll revert
