Wings Wildlife Park reviews
61More animals than I expected, and quite a varied collection too. A variety that we're not Australian, but still interesting. It was possible to get quite close to many of them, particularly the kangaroos, and the park was easy to get around even if mobility is limited. Good selection of ice cream in the cafe too to cool down afterwards. A decent experience all in all.
Great wilderness attraction.decent selection of wildlife. Amazing off grid camping in a huge field by the river where I caught a decent trout.
Wing's Wildlife Park is one of the best wildlife parks I have ever been to! We easily spent 3-4 hours there. We were greeted by friendly and lovely girls at the reception. We immediately booked the meerkat encounter for 3 of us. Unfortunately the meerkats weren't too fond of the rainy days and we didn't want to force them out of their hidey holes so we swapped to meeting Sunny the baby wombat instead. Sunny is absolutely adorable and she is a very comical little creature. After we finished, as we walked to the marmosets enclosure, we couldn't resist their cute little faces, so we booked an encounter with them too. The world is full of wonderful creatures big and small. All the animals in Wings wildlife park are very well looked after and 99% of them are very friendly, except for the ostrich that hissed at me, ruffled its feathers and ran along the fence to follow me. It was very nice to my kids though.
I hope more people will go there because it's a definitely a very memorable place! We will go there again for sure!
Lots of beautiful native fauna kept in very small and deprived enclosures.
The kangaroo and Wallaby paddock was pleasant but the bird enclosures among others were completely inadequate and solitary for a given species.
I left feeling very dissapointed and concerned for the wellfare of the animals there.
It was so sad to see all the birds kept in such low and small cages. It even had two ducks kept in a very tiny aquarium, having no space to move around at all.
Can't understand why there was a seagull in a cage.
Really loved visiting Wings wildlife park.
The staff were fantastic!
The whole vibe of the place felt very laid back, you could tell the animals were very well loved and looked after and their facilities well maintained, clean and spacious.
The devils feeding time was great to see, the monkeys (cupachin and marmosets) were very active and playful - probably our favourite animals there.
And the meerkats had loads of character.
The food in the cafe was reasonably priced too and a good menu.
The entry fee was also reasonable compared to the other place (Unzoo wildlife park) near Port Arthur.
Highly recommended
Just loved this Wildlife Park. This is a definite must do whilst in Tassie.
Sooo many animals to see, very spread out
Great accommodation, clean, tidy and well appointed.
Great rest day location for those doing the Penguin to Cradle walk - day 2 is tough!
Meals were tasty, filling and exceeded expectations.
Wings wild life park is an awesome experience highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back one of these days
The accomodation is amazing. The bathrooms and kitchen are so well kept and clean. My kids enjoyed both the farm and wildlife park.
A great place to see and interact with a variety of animal species, including hand feeding kangaroos, as well as to learn about these animals and their natural habitats.
Love what you are doing there, but were disappointed as New Zealand pensioners not to be able to use our senior cards to enter. We have lived 4 years in Australia paying our taxes. Whatever happened to the Anzac spirit? We have been able to use them at lots of other tourist attractions where we are spending our NZ pensions in Australia.l was a disappointed with your response, as your information is incorrect. I was not with a tour group so did not receive a discount. I was there with my sister and partner and there was no one else there at the time. So you have suggested I made your staff feel uncomfortable in front of others which was only my sister who obviously agreed with me and just asked that perhaps the policy should be looked at by the owners.
Great place to take the family or wonder around by yourself.
The displays are easy to navigate and also very easy to spot the animal/bird/reptiles.
Wings wild life park is a great place to visit, fantastic food and fantastic customer service
Fantastic place to visit with camping and amenities.
Plenty of tasmanian devils and other animals.
The staff is super friendly and they are very keen to share their knowledge
I didn’t plan on going there, BUT it was an amazing place to go to! And I would regret if I didn’t have the chance to visit it.
So soothing and relaxing to have your coffee at Cafe there.
The reception ladies were very nice and professional (They made my day).
I will definitely come back when I can.
A special THANKS to you guys ️? You are AWESOME.
Had an Awesome time at Wings. Great staff and good caring animals. Lottie (Koala) was lovely. All the endemic species are so precious.
Is pretty good overall, the animal experience is awesome and the keepers are nice and well informed. The only downside is the lack of toilets and for a family with babies, the high chairs are really dirty and poorly cleaned.
Had the best day. Staff were friendly and obliging, and the animals lived up to all of my expectations.
Stopped here for an overnight camp during a through hike. The coffee at the cafe is good and the food is fantastic. Worth a drive in itself. The campground by the river is a beautiful spot. The staff were all very friendly. Next time we'll visit the zoo proper and stay a few nights so we can explore the surrounding area.
