Windy Park Alpacas reviews
14We had the best afternoon of our holiday at Windy Farm. Hosts were amazing, their knowledge and commitment were evident in their enthusiasm to make our visit special. The animals were just as friendly as the hosts, especially Jack, what a character. Well worth a visit, we will be recommending it to all who will listen.
Fun place to go and absolutely amazing if you're an animal lover. The shop is quite nice too.
We had a fantastic day! The kids got to hold and pat so many animals, including a baby goat and guinea pigs. Jack the alpaca was a real character! Sheryl and Kim were so enthusiastic and happy to take time to answer all of our questions.
Best couple ever!
Such an amazing time around their pet goats and alapacas. But also rabbits, peacock, chickens, alapaca guinea pigs, wallaby, parrots! Best for kids and adults.
So highly recommended
Surprised my wife with a visit to windy park alpacas while touring around Tasmania on a motorbike. Being a typical male I didn’t check the opening hours and we rocked up an hour and half early. Was met by a lovely guy at the gate who said “no problem, just give me a minute “. We experienced the best farm tour imaginable. We met and fed many goats, alpacas, rabbits, lamas, a miniature pig, chickens, lyrebird, and others. They have a fantastic gift shop full of all things Alpaca also. I highly recommend a visit as they are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Just be sure to check their hour’s first
By far the best animal encounters ever in Australia. This is one of the finest, must visit place in Launceston. The drive upto the farm is very beautiful. We were group of 5 adults, supposed to catch the flight back to Melbourne from Launceston in the next 5hrs. However, the lovely couple could accommodate us and give us a nice tour of the farm and encounters with Llama, Alpaca, Bunny, Guinea Pig, Cashmere Goats, etc. We could feed Bunnies, Llama, friendly Alpacas, Goats and do Pig Fishing.
This has been my best farm visit with so much to witness, encounter, and learn about these animals. The Alpacas are indeed very beautiful and majestic, justified for various accolades and competitions won across Australia. The birds are beautiful and it is so wonderful to witness a peacock so close. I am sure to visit everytime when in Launceston.
Windy Park provided a very friendly and warm welcome for our visit to meet their alpacas and chooks and sheep and various other very happy animals. And the alpaca wool knitwear is beautiful! Great spot, don't miss it.
Visiting Windy Park Alpacas was one of the highlights of our trip to Tassie! Run by a lovely couple, we got to have a tour of the farm and meet many cute animals!
We saw alpaca guinea pigs, goats including a 2 week old baby goat that I got to bottle feed, baby bunnies and a massive bunny, a "miniature" pig (we went "pig fishing"!) and fed alpacas and a llama. They also showed us how alpaca wool is processed and there's a cute shop with lots of very affordable handmade items! I bought a handmade alpaca wool beanie for $35.1000% worth visiting! We loved it so much as two young adults, and I'm sure kids would love it too. It costed both of us $20 in total for the farm tour/visit and so worth it.
Great place to visit love the Alpacas and goats very informative well worth the experience
Such a great place! Our 2,5yo absolutely loved it so did we. The owners were very friendly and nice, let the lil one to feed the chickens, rabbits, goats and alpacas. Highly recommended!
Awesome place, such a nice couple who run it. It’s quite a charming place to arrive to when the gate opens and numerous species of animals all walk out to greet you! Definitely a great place for kids and school groups also! Thanks so much guys.
Country hospitality at its best! Dropped in on the owner who gave us a tour and lots of 1st hand knowledge about running an alpaca farm
He let me hand feed some of the 54 he owns, so friendly and generous
Beautiful locally made handicrafts soaps, scarves, beanies & cards
gorgeous alpacas, chickens and goats - glad we visited
This place is absolutely lovely. We love all the animals there and had a great time feeding them. The hosts are very warm and friendly! Our visit to the Windy Park is certainly the highlight of our day!
