Wayatinah Lakeside Caravan Park reviews
29Sadly we left early a great location and lovely hosts but park is badly let down by the permanent residents as their sites are a disgrace and makes what could be a lovely park have the appearance of a trashy unloved neglected park suc h a shame for the owners
What a fantastic caravan park, with great facilities, spacious lots. Cannot speak highly, enough of this place. Wonderful owners with Coral and Mark. Differently coming back.
Lovely caravan located on the Wayatinah lagoon great new camp kitchen & small amenities & older old dated amenities block showers were beautiful & warm, staff are lovely but it is really all about the location
I recon this would have to be the best caravan park in tassie, fantastic husband and wife duo maintaining a stunning clean camp ground. Wicked amenities, included such as the kitchen area open usually from 7am till 10pm, outdoor pool open seasonally, tennis and basket ball course communal fire place to gather with all travellers, even has 2 TV's with connection if wanted to catch up on ur new, free toilet block, garbage bins around oval close to camp sites, and $1 coin operated showers for 5 minutes and washer and dryer. All this and more for 16pp per night. Absolutely worth the money, we wish we had more time and kayak with us to explore the lake and have a fish. Will highly recommend this place to all visitors and will be returning with friends and family in the near future.
A beautiful spot for families. Lots to do. Kids especially loved the pool. Highly recommend- we’ll be back.
Wow.how fabulous to find a caravan park who is listening to what travellers need. Updates are h oing on providing facilities to kitchen, bar and grounds. Hosts are friendly and happy to help with any requests. Great stay. Chris and Astrid Perkins.
Perfect spot. Picturesque, relaxing and great grass area with a cricket pitch for the kids to play. Lovely big pool too with a toddlers pool. Very well set out and quiet. Lovely helpful hosts, will definitely be returning.
Currently staying here and it's awesome. Very clean and tidy, the camp kitchen and pizza oven are brilliant. The owners, Coral and Mark are two of the friendliest people I have met and are always happy to answer any questions and help out with anything. The pool area is a wonderful spot and really well maintained, very safe and clean and a nice large area for families to sit on the grass in the sun or shade, as well as an undercover area with tables and benches. We will be sad to leave but are already planning to book our next stay as soon as we get home, my kids have loved every minute.
Beautiful place, worth booking early for the lakeside camp-site. Great new kitchen and almost complete on-site coffee shop. Lovely proprietors who will deliver a firepit and generous amount of wood in the appropriate season. Fish literally jumping out of the water. What more can you ask for? Starry nights? Done!
Owners were extremely rude. Treated terribly followed around like flies and was too expensive hope you run out of business cows
Older, but safe lake for children. Clean amenities, powered sites and well maintained lawn ereas.
We pulled into this hidden gem, paid for a couple of nights, set up, and went straight back and booked to stay longer.
The amenities and grounds are spotless and you can see Coral and Mark out and about working and improving the property. It’s beautifully maintained and amenities and grounds are spotless. The Lake is always beautiful, sunny days or mist rising on cold mornings, even dull days it’s lovely. We enjoyed our stay and will most definitely mention Wayatinah Lakeside Caravan Park as a DO NOT MISS treasure. Thank you Coral and Mark

What a wonderful spot for our Easter holiday.
Coral and Mark gave us a very warm welcome. On Easter Sunday the children were greeted with a small gift of Easter eggs, what a great surprise.
This wasn't our first stay, and won't be our last.
Great place to stop and split the drive between Hobart and Strahan. Owners were friendly and helpful. Quiet, peaceful spot. Great if you’re self sufficient but lots of improvements (e.g new kitchen) in progress.
Agree with the previous comments, this is a must for those who enjoy camping and scenic beauty!
A good spot to stop between Hobart and Strahan. Is being developed and will get better with time. It was quiet and peaceful. The view over the lake was great. The park owner was friendly and very helpful. The park was clean and tidy, with fire pits available.
This is a must for everyone. Beautiful swim in the pool, great fish in the lake, great owners. Hidden little gem.
Owners were very rude. The owners passed messages to adults through the children. The rules were over top, Kept telling us off and saying we would be banned from the pool. No wonder their caravan park is empty.
Absolutely fantastic stay. So much happening on this side to make it even better. Can't wait to see what happens over the next few months. Owners have put their heart and soul into this place, and it shows.
The Caravan Park is perfect for a summer holiday. It has both a tennis court and pool, and their is a beach to kayak on the Derwent
