Waterfront Cafe

Lunch with family after 18 holes of mini golf. Food arrived quickly and good sized portions. Great burgers and the iced coffee was magnificent! Kids loved their meals too. Would recommend.

Nice views, easy parking too. Food is overpriced, service is average, not what I would call friendly. Oat milk latte $7.20. If you want sourdough toastie pay an extra $2 for the sourdough. I would say these are some of the reasons why there were literally only 3 tables for Sunday lunchtime. It has the potential to be a great lunch spot but it's missing many elements.

There's good & bad. Good. Beautiful view, & decor! Bad. Our warm scones came out b4 the coffee & toastie. I had to remind them to make our coffee, the barista wasn't aware there were coffees to be made.
As we were the only 2 customers, VERY disappointing service.
Not to mention an extra fee of $1.20 for Lactose free milk.eg: $6.20 for a small size latte.

My wife and I had a beautiful breakfast (Eggs Benny) at the Waterfront Cafe this morning, Great Chef and staff, what a shame we are from Qld!

Arrived at 1: 30pm, ordering shortly after. Ordered 2x Fish Bites & Chips + 1 Iced Coffee, Iced Coffee arrived promptly however the Fish Bites took 35 minutes to arrive after ordering. There weren't many other customers either in the Cafe so not sure what the wait was due to, no staff approached us and explained there would be a significant delay. Unfortunately due to the wait we ran out of time to play Mini Golf due to being on a tight schedule to catch a flight later that afternoon.

Our reserved table and seats were filthy my thia beaf salad was not thia just crunchy noodles on rear steak lettuce ounion carrots cherry tomatoes.and a load of PeaNuts what a disappointment on the bright side the others dining with me had nice meals and the outlook is great.but smile guys.

Lets start with outside. Tables and outside chairs not clean and had bird poo on them and chairs full of water. Not a nice place to sit. Went Inside and served pretty quickly but there was no one waiting anyway so expected that. Told no chicken available so there went 1/3 of the menu. Went to order steak sandwich and told no meat then told yes they did (server had little knowledge of what they had).

Ended up ordering the burger and steak sandwich and wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce. Food was good but took far too long for a almost empty place (35 to 40 minutes. Price was on high side at $80 for burger, steak sandwich, wedges with milkshake and can of coke. Any higher and would have avoided. Told 10 minute wait and left it 15 mins. Then when going back told another 10 minutes and then told to come back then. Waited another 15 mins and further 5 mins to be given food. OK, but when not busy and no real other orders I wondered what the hold up was? Didn't seem to be a staffing problem as plenty of people behind the counter.

They have well maintained putt putt for family and kids. Not sure on price for this but seemed players were having a good time.

Overall 3 stars. Would have given 4 but if you want people to have an overall good experience then clean your outside tables and chairs, at least have all items on your menu available and ensure prompt delivery of food as advised at time of order.

Not sure if I would come back as other cafes in area just as good, slightly less costly and cleaner external seating areas.

Girls day had brunch Food excellent.
Service was great.loved the fact that there was no time restriction. We will be back.

Everytime I've been in for coffee, and cheese, ham, tomato toasty the customer servicewas friendly. Eat indoor or out doors they both have great river views. Food always good

Some great options for breakfast, the bruschetta options were quite good. Setting was lovely overlooking the waterfront. Coffee was fantastic and staff friendly. Not quite 5 stars as it was a little overpriced.

Food is good, mini golf is ok but could be maintained better, service is non existent. We went to the Cafe this morning for breakfast before golf was told we would have sit at the couches with a tiny table because all the other proper tables were reserved although they didn't all have reserved signs, we asked if we could move two seats to a a two seater table were told no because there was going to be a lot of people. We sat at the couch table which was difficult for my elderly mother with 6 empty tables not being used, we had our breakfast nobody arrived to the reserved table. We then played golf with a 5 year old so very slow, we were on the 17th hole when the patrons for the reserved tables arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes after we arrived and were told we couldn't use the proper tables.

A great place to bring our grandkids. We had lunch and played mini golf. Nice tricky little course. Buy a meal and get a second round for 1/2 price. Quite a few customers just enjoying lunch.

So this is a little Cafe with a great view overlooking the water, attached to a very popular and good looking mini golf course for the family to enjoy. But it gets top marks for the food being served. Quick, presented wonderfully and best of all completely DELICIOUS! I was dissapointed my schedule didnt allow for a larger meal (had fish bites and chips. YUM!) So is top of my list to return to Tassie just to try a main meal.

Excellent work guys. A definate must visit for anyone in the area.

Beautiful meals definitely worth going and will be back would have loved them to be open for dinner time as well

Went here as an option instead of else where, and we will definitely be back.
Great service, great drinks and the food is top notch.
Couldn't recommend any higher.

We had a take away coffee and it was good. Friendly staff. Amenities ok. Wheelchair friendly. Lots of parking.
Played minigolf and course is a bit neglected.

Friendly service, clean & pleasant atmosphere. Great homemade BBQ sauce, and the steak sandwich w/homemade relish was delish!

What a lovely spot. Cafe was clean staff welcoming service though was a little slow. All our meals were very nice and there was 7 of us.
